Lincoln Hall is the day of reckoning for TRRC men. It is the
race which determines the TRRC team members for the
Manhattan-to-Peekskill Relay. The top eight club members in the open division make up the men's A-team. The next eight fastest comprise the B-team. The eight fastest masters' runners join the masters' team. Kevin Wynne ran a brisk 25:56 to win the race and head up
the A-team. He had some pressure from Steve Calidonna who
was on Kevin's shoulder for the rst half of the race. In the
racc, nishing 10 seconds behind Steve, to take third overall Bob Hermesch was the victor in the masters' event, nishing in 27:17 - a ne performance which would also have qualied
him for the A-tcam. Scott Abercrombie, 27:37, was second master, while John Holland nished third in 27:55.
The women's racc was won by Mary Tolson in a speedy 33:5^' Helen Cjordon was close bcliind in 34:23. Stacey Smith (who i ns bases when she isn't running roads) rounded out the
top three women in 35:13.
Other entries in the ne performance catagory include Frank Sabito's 30:25, good for rst place in the 50-59 division. Billy Drake's 34:06 gave him top honors in the 60 + division. Raisa Bykhovsky ran a ne 45:10 to take the top spot in the women's
60+.
Meadows, Doug Miller and Rich Lupatanto. The B-team is made up of Tom Piazza, Ron Herreid, Gary Steinel, Tom
Nceson, Ken I-ilmanski, Jack Conklin, Denis Donahue and
Mark Wheaton. The masters' team is comprised of Bob Hermesch, Scott Abercrombic, John Holland, Tony Galfano,
Jor Porcaro, Mike Daly, Pete Corsino and Howie Bashant.
This year the I ,incoln i lall race is also the club championship event for men in the open and masters' divisions. Congratu lations to 1990 TRRC champions Kevin Wynne and Bob
Hermesch. Complete results start on page 20.

SYBIL 1990
Myles O'Rhodes
The note read: "Dear Daddy, am going for a brisk ride in the county. See you at Sunshine. Love, Sybil." Thus the legend began...this year the legend con tinued. April 28th, 7am Saturday morning: 18 start ers. The weather even at that early hour was warm. Early fast starters were Paul Fetcher followed by Dave Farquar. A group of six - Frank DeLeo, Joe Dugan, Ken Huttunen, Don Villeneuve, Richard

rest of the troops spread out behind. Survival is the norm for Sybil. However this day survival became a more difcult goal due to the ever-climbing temperature. The starting sub 80's gave way to 90-1- degree temperatures as the run ners struggled through the half-marathon point. The compensating factor about Sybil is that it is a glorious course, scenic and challenging, It is a race rife with tradition. For any Taconic runner who has already met the challenge of the "classic distance", Sybil presents the unique opportunity to go "ultra" in our won backyard. It is the one step beyond. Like its kid brother, the marathon, Sybil lulls you up to the wall, then allows you to slam into it, at
your own speed.

13. Bill Lahart, 32, 5:44 (1st 30-39)
This year's race contained several interesting sub plots: the best is the story of Bob Kantor's incredi ble hat trick: the Sri Chinmoy Rainbow Marathon on Friday, followed by Sybil on Saturday and then by the Yonkers Marathon on Sunday. This year's winner, Frank DeLeo from Brooklyn, racked up his seventh ultra win in besting the 1990 Sybil eld. An international avor was added by Richard Ludin from Montreal, Quebec who was our trailer in this year's race, but who helped to provide us with imported post-race refreshments - if you can
call almost red-hot beer refreshing. Both of our early leaders succumbed to the heat and ended up as DNFs, as did the only woman starter.
