Read below to get some ideas of how to write a personal statement for College or an Apprenticeship

Personal Statement I am a creative and hardworking individual with a passion for Art. There are many aspects of my GCSE Art course which I enjoy, in particular free hand drawing. I am also studying GCSE Textiles and Drama and love bringing my own ideas and interpretation to a piece of work. Currently, I am completing an Employability Programme, which has informed me of what I need to do to achieve my career goal. Outside of School, I work as a stage production assistant. This involves setting up equipment for performances and working as part of a large team. Here, I have developed my communication and listening skills, following instructions and passing on information to others. Recently, I have taken up learning the Japanese language and will be travelling to Japan next summer. I was then nominated by Thurston Community College to receive the Principles Reward 2012. I am looking forward to pursuing my next journey after Year 11, and feel I have a lot to bring to your Art and Design course at West Suffolk College .

Personal Statement I am an active and practical individual with an interest in Public Services. Currently I am studying GCSE psychology and child development, and feel that my understanding of these subjects could support a career within the police force. In School, I am part of an employability scheme, supported by Suffolk County Council. Here, I have been introduced to Suffolk Police careers and hoping to join the police cadets in Bury St Edmunds this year. Outside of School, I work at the Jigsaw Childrens Centre with young children age 0 -5 years. Here my duties include; organising materials, speaking with parents, interacting with young children during activity classes and supervising free play sessions as well as preparing snacks for break time. I feel this experience has helped to develop my communication and listening skills, taking a mature approach towards supporting others and being in a position of high responsibility and care. Overall, I am an enthusiastic person with a can do attitude. I am looking forward to starting my next journey after Year 11. I feel I have a lot to bring to your Public Service course at West Suffolk College.
