A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF XAVIER UNIVERSITY-ECONOMICS SOCIETY DEPARTMENT DIRECTORS AND DEPUTY DIRECTORS FOR SECOND SEMESTER A.Y. 2013-2014 ----------------------------------------------------------------27 November 2013 WHEREAS, the President together with the Audit and Evaluation Team has convened to discuss about the changes of the Economics Society Departments and Officers last October 12, 2013. WHEREAS, further assessment was done to justify the efficiency of the officers and departments performance and outputs during the First Semester of this Academic Year. Thus, there were changes made in some Departments. WHEREAS, Article VI, Section 4.2.9 tells that The President may review, create, dissolve or merge the existing departments to aid, develop, monitor and execute the projects and services of the society, subject to Sec.9, Article IV of XU-ECOSOC Charter. WHEREAS, Article VI, Section 4.2.12 further stipulates that The President shall submit the names of the persons he/she wishes to appoint as Department Directors to the Legislative Council for confirmation if the seats are vacant or change which pertains to inefficiency of officers. WHEREAS, Mr. Jhon Louie B. Sabal, president of XU-Economics Society for AY 2013-2014, in compliance to the mandate of the XU-Economics Society Charter, submitted to the Legislative Council his appointees for the positions of Department Directors and Deputy Directors: To wit: Mr. Alfonso Gian R Canete III AB Economics-3 Director of Research and Community Outreach Ms. Titea Laureatte Sinogaya AB Economics-3 Deputy Director of Research and Community Outreach Ms. Sheera Brilliantel Abratiguin AB Economics-2 Director of Academic Affairs Ms. Tanya Alyssa Gapuz AB Economics-2 Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Ms. Quennie Yvan U Pelisco AB Economics-3 Director of Information and Linkages Ms. Cielo Pateno AB Economics-3 Deputy Director of Information and Linkages Ms. Messy Ville Narvasa AB Economics-4 Deputy Director of Sports and Physical Fitness Ms. Rikha Sabio AB Economics-1 Deputy Director of Secretariat and Membership Mr. Jonathan Wee AB Economics-3 Deputy Director of Media and Linkages

WHEREAS, the Legislative Council finds the appointees mentioned herein qualified and suitable in handling the given position. WHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the appointment of the aforementioned people as XU-ECOSOC Department Directors and Deputy Directors by Mr. Jhon Louie B. Sabal has been approved. FURTHER, upon the release of this resolution, they may start performing their duties and responsibilities inherent to their positions.
