Dr. Hartman, My love for art started very early in life.

I am a kinesthetic and visual learner, so demonstrations and visuals were always important to me. Growing up my artistic skills were prominent, even when I had to be in remedial classes for understanding other things like reading comprehension. I would love reading about the different ways to paint and create art. My teachers would use this to help me retain information and get the main point of an article. There are many different ways to use art therapy, but one thing is for sure; it works. In my home town there is an art therapy class for children and adults with autism. Art can teach us different life skills and general skills. Art therapy can even be the effect it has on a person when they look at it. Some art pieces and songs evoke a positive emotion automatically. In my multimodal piece is focused on how art therapy has an impact! I want everyone to know that it is a resource for everyone! I think I did hit all the key elements of the assignment. I dont think it looks like I need to teach a class on this because I have videos that you have to click on to start, instead of starting automatically. I used quotes, examples of art created through art therapy, and videos that I hope would inspire and uplift the audience. I think my purpose of showcasing art having an impact on people regardless of where they are in life is very clear. I made a huge change from healthy living habits to art therapy and I am happy I made that decision. I think I am the exception to the usually your first pick is correct rule because the more I change my topics the more I am satisfied with my working drafts. The one thing I am not sure of is how citing the images will be. I am somewhat familiar with citing images, but I am not proficient at it at all! I really enjoyed this project!
