STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

One secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes. --Benjamin Disraeli This maxim is an important motivating factor for me as I have found this a great guiding force and a ladder for success in various spheres of activities. And today I avail this opportunity to present before you a committed, diligent and resolute student striving to pursue a Masters program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I believe in or!ing hard and unflinchingly to achieve my aim irrespective of obstacles that come in life. This unsha!able faith in my abilities, a passion to or! hard have made me un avering in my approach and provided me the boost to my morale. I strive to or! for the best in my chosen field to the best of my potential. My encouraging and supportive parents have al ays believed in this maxim and have stressed on a holistic approach to education. "o I have been fortunate that I have been able to reali#e my educational dreams to a large extent. $ully motivated and engrossed in their domain of expertise, my parents provided me an academic environment in the family. Ever since my childhood, I as fascinated by the orld of electronics and computers. My first tryst ith electronics as the television. I %uestioned myself ho does it or!. &o it receives the signals and hat components ma!e up a television. $rom those days I had an innate desire to discover hat electronics as all about. &o ever, 'ordon Moores principle, Transistor density in integrated circuits doubles every year( hich I studied in my )*"I sub+ect at undergraduate college !indled an interest in me to !no more in detail about the chip design. I noticed that the smaller the si#e of the chip, the more complex ill be its operation and e%ually complex ill be the functionality it supports. The deeper I foray into the chip design aspects, the more I visuali#e the intrinsic challenges faced by the chip design and manufacturing industry. This fact coupled ith my immense interest in the )*"I ,esign has enhanced my desire further. To strive, to see!, to find, and not to yield(, these famous ords by Tennyson, sum up my philosophy of life. I have al ays strived for excellence, and this %uest has no inspired me to pursue an M" in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from your university. In the long run I ish to be a successful professional in the field of )*"I. As a student of Electronics - .ommunication Engineering, I too! deep interest in sub+ects li!e Analog and ,igital electronic circuits, Microprocessors - Micro/controllers, and I. ,esign. My natural li!ing for electronic circuits and the inspiration provided by various technical articles and papers led me to learn )*"I ,E"I'0, )&,* and )E1I*2' &,* coding. It boosted my interests and as a result, I chose to do my pro+ect or! on Implementation of 34/bit Microprocessor using )&,*( using 5ilinx I"E tool and I have successfully implemented it along

ith my counterparts. I al ays believe in 6*earning by doing hich has al ays interested me in understanding the practical aspects of any sub+ect. In my pursuit of ac%uiring real orld !no ledge, I am undergoing internship on )*"I 7hysical ,esign at Institute of "ilicon "ystems, &yderabad. I have an interest to garner !no ledge of digital hard are design. The pro+ect that I did during my under graduation helped me bolster my practical understanding of theoretical concepts. I developed a deep penchant to ards )*"I through these initiatives. I have al ays been a firm believer that a strong educational bac!ground is an ideal platform for a successful career. I al ays believed in participating in various extracurricular activities in spite of rigorous academic schedule. 8hile my performance in college exams, standardi#ed tests and co/curricular activities indicate my competence, the research I did as part of my final year pro+ect has enhanced my analytical s!ills to solve complex engineering problems.
