JPMC PRIVATE EQUITY FUND SERVICES (PEFS): A new business startup venture for J.P. Morgan,
resulting from the spin-off of the banks private equity group. Company provides back and middle office financial services to the private equity community. Vice President of Information Technology, 2005 - 2007 Led rapid establishment of technology for this new business. Challenged with the creation of transaction and reporting products to attract customers and the delivery of a new technology platform. Served as senior member of the technology team in assisting with the due diligence process for this startup. Directed the development of web-enabled standard and custom reports which were the primary customer facing product. Expanded the groups internal Help Desk function to include external customer support. Led Project Management Office, including managing the process to present new investment business cases to the JPMC Worldwide Securities Services Architecture Board and Investment Council for approval. All business cases presented were approved, greatly enhancing PEFS ability to generate revenue and reduce expenses. Developed the overall PEFS security model and the review and approval of access to our portfolio of applications.

Managed JPMPs infrastructure and Project Management Office (PMO), with full $15M budget, implementation, and support responsibility. Led four direct and 32 indirect reports. Responsible for information risk policy, SarbanesOxley, and SEC compliance as well as disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing, and serving as internal and external audit liaison. Challenged with a non-existent technology project approval and monitoring environment, an outsourced infrastructure support organization with inadequate controls & metrics, and a data center without adequate security or recovery capability. Managed worldwide infrastructure with offices in New York, San Francisco, Sao Paolo, London, Munich, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Melbourne. In charge of selection, acquisition, installation, support, and retirement of JPMPs entire global technology infrastructure. Drove annual operating costs down from $32M to $19M through data center outsourcing, aggressive application justification and elimination, removing underused technology and aggressive vendor negotiations. Managed the technology related aspects of JPMPs financial re-engineering initiative. Led IBM relationship for JPMP, including telecommunications, data center management, desktop support, and the JPMP Help Desk. Created and monitored Service Level Agreements and converted the group to in-house support. Established and ran the JPMP Project Management Office.
