Sk : skip Sc2tog : 2 single crochet together (= insert hook in next st, yo, pull yarn through the 2 first loops on hook. You have 2 loops on your loop. Insert hook in next st, yo, pull yarn through the 2 first loops, yo, pull yarn through the remaining loops) FPdc: Front Post double crochet (= yo and insert hook from front to back between the posts of designated double crochet of the row below, and then from back to front again between the posts of the second and third stitches, yo and draw yarn around the post of the stitch. Yo, draw yarn through the 2 first loops on hook, twice.

Beginning with a sliding loop with color A: work as follow: Round 1: Ch3, 2dc in loop, ch3, 3dc in loop, ch3, 3dc in loop, ch3, join with sl in the third ch of the starting ch-3. Fasten off. Round 2: Join color B in any ch-3 space. Ch3, 2dc in space, ch3, 3dc in space (this is the first corner), ch2, *3dc in space, ch3, 3dc in same space, ch2* repeat from * to * to make the third corner, join with sl in the third ch of the starting ch-3. Fasten off.

Round 3: Join with color C in any corner. Ch3, 2dc in space, ch3, 3dc in space, ch2, *3dc in next ch-2 space, ch2, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in corner, ch2* repeat from * to *, join with sl in the third ch of the starting ch-3. Fasten off. Round 4: Join with color D in any corner. Ch3, 2dc in space, ch3, 3dc in space, ch2, (3dc in next ch-2 space, ch2) 2 times, (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in corner, ch2* repeat from * to *, join with sl in the third ch of the starting ch-3. Round 5: (seaming rows, not on the diagram) - With color D, work 1 row on two sides of the triangles: ch1, work 2sc in corner, (1sc in each dc, 1sc in each ch-2 space) 3sc in corner space, (1sc in each dc, 1sc in each ch-2 space) 2sc in corner, fasten off leaving a long tail.

Assembling the triangles


Right side facing you, seam the triangles together all along their seaming rows, using whipstitch through both loops, to form a pie as per the picture.

Trim
Round 1: Join with color C in the second ch-2 space of any triangle, ch3, 2dc in space. Then, *ch1, 3dc in next ch-2 space*, repeat from * to * all around, join color B and join with sl in the third ch of the starting ch-3. Break off color C.

Round 2: Ch 5 (count as dc + ch2), 3dc in next space, ch2, *3dc in next space, ch2, 3dc in next space, ch2, 1dc in next space, ch2, 3dc in next space, ch2, 1dc in next space* repeat from * to * all around, join color A and join with sl in the third chain of the beginning ch-5. Round 3: Ch2, FPdc in ch-3/dc below, ch2, then work: *3dc in next space, ch2, FPdc in dc, ch2* all around, join color D and join with sl in the second ch of the beginning ch-2. Round 4: Ch1, work 1sc in each FPdc, 1sc in each ch-2 space, 1sc in each dc. Round 5, 6, 7 and 8: ch1: working on back loop only, work 1sc on each sc. Fasten off.
