1. Definicin del Alcance de la solucin
La solucin es descrita en trminos de sus caractersticas y funciones que sern incluidas y las interacciones que la solucin tendr con sus las personas y sistemas fuera de su alcance. Medir los beneficios de las solucin recomendada en trminos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Siempre que sea posible los beneficios deben ser cuantificados. Sin embargo, los beneficios no financieros (personal con una moral ms alta, mayor flexibilidad para responder al cambio, incremento en la satisfaccin del cliente o una menor exposicin al riesgo) son adems importantes porque generan valor para la organizacin. Estimar el costo total neto de la solucin. Esto requiere estimar los gastos de capital de la nueva inversin, el costo del desarrollo y la implementacin del cambio, el costo oportunidad de no invertir en otras opciones, los costos relacionados al cambio del trabajo y las prcticas de la organizacin y el costo total del ciclo de vida del producto.

1. Indicadores
Son estadsticas acerca del desempeo de una organizacin que es til para el monitoreo o prediccin del desempeo. Un indicador debe ser claro, relevante, fcil de recolectar, adecuado y cuantificable. Se debe considerar el origen, el mtodo de recoleccin, quin recopilar la informacin, el costo, la frecuencia y el nivel de dificultad del trabajo. 2. Mtricas Son estndares de medicin en un punto particular del tiempo. Se puede establecer un punto de lnea base, recursos para mejorar el desempeo medido y asuntos polticos. Los tipos de mtricas son puntos discretos, lmites o rangos (tiles para nuevos indicadores). Los tres factores que evalan la calidad de la mtrica son: confiabilidad, validez y oportuna. 3. Estructura Sistemas de monitoreo y evaluacin que requieren procedimientos de recoleccin de informacin, de anlisis de datos, de informe y de recoleccin de lneas base.

Elementos 4. Informe Informe sobre las mtricas (lneas base), mtricas continuas y mtricas objetivo. Las tendencias son ms crebles y relevantes que una mtrica especfica. Los informes visuales son ms efectivos que mostrar slo nmeros. 1. Ventajas Permite la evaluacin de que tan efectiva es una solucin y que tan bien cumple con las necesidades del negocio y los objetivos. 2. Desventajas Recolectar informacin en exceso puede ser consumidor de tiempo e interrumpir otros trabajos. Requiere de retroalimentacin del personal de trabajo.
