Outline about the event History / background of event Events aims and objectives Who is organising the event Statement about your organization resources When, where and time of the event what activities will take place, who will participate Outline the benefits and features the sponsor will receive State realistic benefits to sponsors. You have to deliver what you promise State whether there are exclusive sponsors for that area or activity List all financial responsibilities of the sponsor Clearly state what you want from sponsor Sponsorship need to be managed therefore make sure you have the physical & material resources that require you to do this

Negotiating your sponsorship deal Confirm that your sponsor is viable and reputable prospect before entering into serious negotiations Whenever possible, negotiate in person with the decision maker Go into the negotiation knowing what you aim to achieve with strategy and how to achieve it. Be aware of your bottom line & dont agree to anything less Be different- make your presentation memorable- slides, videos (simple & straight to the point) Determine in advance what additional components you may be able to offer if required to clinch a sponsorship deal Always have clean understanding on the concessions that you cannot make , the event organising body may have decided that naming right to the whole event is not acceptable Always remember price always relates to benefits

History / background of event Naming rights- as a general rule if your event cost RM20K to stage then naming rights for the event should be worth RM20K Networking- the opportunity to build business relationship with government & other corporate identities through invitations to special events Audience exposure your event audience is a potential asset to your sponsor Audience exposure- your event audience is a potential asset to your sponsor Media & Publicity opportunities- business logos and names on promotional flyers, event program, posters and in the local newspaper Product sampling- onsite merchandising, give aways, mailing lists and etc Promotion throughout event Display their promotional materialafor their business at the event
