Last year my poppa died on Daffodil Day from


cancer. My poppa was important to me and we
loved hanging out together and reading stories.
The Cancer Society supported us so I want to help
them by fundraising. My brother Theo and I are
having a stall selling tattoo transfers, stickers &
flowers before and after school on Daffodil day,
Friday 28th August, outside the office. Please bring
a coin and come see us!

Book Character Dress Up Day
On last Fri day I dressed up as Harry Potter. I li ke Harry Potter, he i s a fasci nati ng book character. I w as
flabbergasted w hen ev eryone dr essed up!!! It w as amazi ng. I loved that day so, so, so, so, so much!! My teacher
w as a book character as w ell. She w as Professor McGonagall. We had a really bi g parade, i t w as aw esome. I
loved i t! It w as the Kow hai Syndi cate w ho di d i t. We di d i t for a celebrati on. We sketched our teacher w ho w as
sti ll dressed up as Professor McGonagall. I wi sh that w e coul d dr ess up ev ery day at school and at home.

Feli x, i n red and Jos h (both Rm 1) competed i n the fi nal
tournam ent of the J Grade Rooki e seri es held at Club
Wai mea Squash cour ts on Sunday 16th. Both boys have
competed i n all 4 tournaments i n the seri es and hav e played
amazi ng squas h consi deri ng they have only been playi ng si nce
last year. Both boys play si mi lar games so i t alw ays an even
contest. Josh w as the vi ctor on thi s occasi on wi nni ng by only
4 poi nts. Both boys earned enough poi nts to fi ni sh i n the top
5 and r ecei ve a new squash bag.
