SUMMARY

As a six year U.S. Navy veteran, I found growth and maturity during my time in the military. The challenges I faced everyday, and the creativity and tenacity needed to solve them, contributed to one of the greatest learning experiences I have had. As a sailor, I learned the value of teamwork, enthusiasm, and constant improvement. Though my time in the Navy is over, I carry the lessons I have learned, the integrity it took to learn them, and the value of continuing to learn throughout my next career in Human Resources.

I joined as an E-1 and was promoted through the ranks to E-5 in under 27 months. I held many primary and secondary collateral duties on top of my primary billet as a TACTAS technician in the SQQ-89 Sonar Suite. I was a Workcenter Supervisor (first level management) for the majority of my time, in addition to being a divisional Safety Petty Officer and Training Petty Officer, my two largest collateral duties. Maintenance Assistant Module (MAM) cataloging and maintenance for my division, and conducted both technical and leadership training to my subordinates, which led to my interest in the design, analysis, implementation, and delivery of training programs.
