    After establishment of the organization, Humanitywatch (now known as CLEAN) started its activities to conserve Sundarbans Mangrove Forest, the largest single tract mangrove forest in the world. The major activities of Humanitywatch on Mangroves are: (i) Study on Impact of ADB Interventions on the Sundarbans (ii) Study on Traditional Knowledge and Cultural Practices in the Sundarbans area (iii) Campaign for Recognition of Forest Peoples Livelihoods in Voter List and National Identity Card (iv) Annual Sundarbans Conference in 2007 and 2009 (v) Initiated "Mangrove Warrior" for their outstanding contribution to protect and restore mangrove forest (vi) Campaign for Community Based Management of the Sundarbans (vii) Popular education in the forest dependent and indigenous Munda communities (viii) Participatory Model Recognition of Forest dependent Communities, and (ix) Forest Peoples Self-Help Cooperative This presentation focused on the CLEAN Activities from 2005-2013 on the Mangrove Forests

    We organized Annual Sundarbans Conference in 2007, 08 and 2009 where all respective stakeholders participated. We awarded 3 persons each year as "Mangrove Warrior" for their outstanding contribution to protect and restore mangrove by plantation, conservation and education.
