Volunteer Opportunities:
Role: Meals on Wheels Volunteer - Ballyfermot Family Resource Centre
What's Involved? We are looking for volunteers to help out with the deliveries of meals to elderly
people in their homes. The demand for our service is increasing and we would like to expand the
number of meals we are able to deliver.
Where: Ballyfermot
When: 12-1:30 daily, volunteers may help out one day per week or more

Role: Administration Volunteer - Bernardos, Dun Laoghaire Family Centre


What's Involved? Greeting visitors, checking who they are there to meet and inform relevant staff
member; carrying out administration tasks as required i.e. photocopying, scanning, Giling, preparation
of meeting rooms; answering the phone, recording messages and connecting calls; identifying any
urgent situations to the manager; generally providing support to the staff in the centre.
Where: Dun Laoghaire
When: Wednesday, 5 hours a week

Role: Helpline Volunteer - Crime Victims Helpline


What's Involved? Answer telephone calls from victims of crime provide emotional support. Provide
information on criminal justice system. Liaise with organisations on behalf of callers.
Where: Harcourt Street, Dublin 2
When: 2 hours a week

Role: Marketing, Sponsorship and Fundraising Admin Support - Plan Ireland


What's Involved: This role will support the Fundraising Department during the Christmas Period:
Logging and monitoring Christmas sales, FulGilling Christmas packs, Administration duties, Logging
and monitoring Sponsor <-> Sponsored child communications, Updating our database, Digital Giling,
Return to sender post, ProoGing documents, Research, Preparation for supporter evenings or various
other events/fundraisers, Any other administrative tasks that may be required
Where: Baggot Street, Dublin 2
When: 20 hours a week

Role: Web Designer - SWICN Computer Clubhouse


What's Involved: The Computer Clubhouse is a model that uses technology creatively to enable
under-served youth to acquire the tools, problem solving skills & conGidence for successful lives. We
are looking to update and upgrade our website. Should have experience with web design, graphic
design and Wordpress
Where: Rainsford Street, Dublin 8
When: Flexible

Role: Volunteer Retail Worker - Christchurch Cathedral


What's Involved: Our gift shop is located in the medieval crypt, and carries a selection of souvenirs.
The role will involve assisting the public with their purchases, operating the till, arranging displays,
ensuring the shop is kept stocked up and making the shop a friendly and welcoming place for
customers.
Where: Christchuch Cathedral
When: 4 hours a week
