Plant Design System (PDS) P & ID &omparison Review This command graphically reviews any discrepancies in piping segment data between the P;#D Database and the piping model. #t displays information from the Segment Data report generated using the P;#D 8omparison +eport Manager in the Piping Design Data Management module.

&ommands $pdate from P&ID Report - This option resolves the data conflicts between the piping model and the P;#D Database for the active piping segment being reviewed. This option updates the piping segment in the model on the basis of the P;#D data included in the report. !nless the comparison report is recreated and other discrepancies are found0 no discrepancies are displayed when the P;#D 8omparison +eview command is reactivated. (ote' The system updates the piping model on the basis of the results presented in the comparison report. The system does not retrieve the data from the P;#D Database0 where it may have been changed. %oad from P&ID - +evises the P;#D node numbers for a piping segment and then updates the appropriate piping segment data automatically from the P;#D Design Database. You can also update the data for a piping segment by snapping to graphics in the active P;#D drawing. #f you identify a component in the P;#D drawing that is associated with more than one segment0 such as a reducer0 the system updates the piping segment data in the model from the segment associated with the connect point nearest the selection point. 'hen you revise the scheduleGthic%ness override using this command0 the system provides a list of scheduleGthic%ness values derived from the override scheduleGthic%ness standard note type 33/ in the pro)ectIs Standard "ote 9ibrary. This will help to prevent errors generated from entering the scheduleGthic%ness in the wrong format.

In"i-it #uture Data &omparison - This option inhibits future data comparisons for a specific piping segment in the model0 when the P;#D data comparison command has reported that the piping segment in the model has undefined node numbers and the line number label does not e(ist in the P;#D Database. 6nce the data comparisons have been inhibited for this piping segment0 the error will not be reported in any future data comparisons0 unless the user chooses. This inhibits data comparisons for piping segments representing vents0 drains0 and off4line instrument connections that are not represented in the P;#D Database. pprove Data Discrepancy - *pproves a data conflict between the piping model and the P;#D Database for the active piping segment being reviewed. This discrepancy will not be reported in later data comparisons unless any of the data being compared changes in either the piping model or in the P;#D Database. Restore Model 0iew - +estores the active screen view to the view that was displayed before the P;#D 8omparison +eview option was selected. ctive P&ID &omparison #ield= and %eft and Rig"t rrows - The *ctive P;#D 8omparison field displays the number of the active P;#D comparison. The Discrepancy field indicates the type of error. 1or all components0 regardless of the type of discrepancy reported0 the system indicates if the component re3uires reconstruction as a result of changes to piping segment data in the model0 such as piping materials class or nominal piping diameter. This might save you from needlessly updating the componentIs data from the +eference Database when other revision management facilities would indicate that reconstruction is re3uired. 1or e(ample0 a component might be reported as only re3uiring updating as a result of revisions to the +eference Database0 whereas that same component might re3uire reconstruction as a result of changes in the model. You can select the right arrow to display the ne(t discrepancy. The components being reviewed are sorted by line id. #f you must e(it this command to ma%e related revisions in the model or for any other reason and then re4enter this command for analysis purposes0 the ne(t component in the revision management is displayed automatically. Review Isometric Drawing This command graphically reviews an isometric drawing in the Piping Designer modeling environment. You can review only one isometric drawing at any given time. The format of the line id in the model0 as specified in the 9abel Description 9ibrary0 must be identical to the format used for e(tracting the isometric drawings.
