Many people have many thoughts about converting percentage scores to GPA scores. Most say for 4 GPA score, the equivalent percentage will be 100% => 4.0 GPA, 75% => 3.0, 50% => 2.0, and 25% => 1.0. But I dont think such GPA conversion is a correct or the real one. Here is the GPA conversion system which I found most trustworthy and genuine. It is published by Cascadia Community College in USA. Here is the conversion pattern: 0%-59% => 0 GPA 60% => 0.7 GPA 61% => 0.8 GPA 62% => 0.8 GPA 63% => 0.9 GPA 64% => 1.0 GPA 65% 66% 67% 68% 69% 70% 71% 72% 73% 74% 75% 76% 77% 78% 79% 80% 81% 82% 83% 84% 85% 86% 87% 88% 89% => 1.0 => 1.1 => 1.2 => 1.3 => 1.4 => 1.5 => 1.6 => 1.7 => 1.8 => 1.9 => 2.0 => 2.1 => 2.2 => 2.3 => 2.4 => 2.5 => 2.7 => 2.8 => 2.9 => 3.0 => 3.0 => 3.1 => 3.2 => 3.3 => 3.4 GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA GPA

89% => 3.4 GPA 90% => 3.5 GPA 91% => 3.5 GPA 92% => 3.6 GPA 93% => 3.7 GPA 94% => 3.8 GPA 95% => 3.9 GPA 96% => 3.9 GPA 97% => 4.0 GPA 98% => 4.0 GPA 99% => 4.0 GPA 100% => 4.0 GPA I hope this conversion pattern will help Indian, Nepali, Pakistani and other students who belong to country where scoring is done on percentage of total score. This is the chart published by Cascadia Community College. You can visit the college website here: http://www.cascadia.ctc.edu/international/

Such algorithms, used to calculate the GPAs of students from different countries, are made after in-depth research of that specific country's academic standard, academic syllabus, highest scores obtained, etc. It is therefore advised not to convert your percentage to Grade Point Average (GPA) on your own; instead, ask the institution youre applying to about how much your percentage converts to in their GPA system.
