Brief Introduction of CHINT

Chint Electric Co., Ltd. (Chint Power T & D) is a main subsidiary of Chint Group. It provides an overall power transmission and distribution solutions with the total package service capabilities. Since its inception in 2004, it always focuses on promoting the progress of power transmission and distribution technology and products, providing products and professional services for world wide customers from energy source, industry, fundamental facility and civil market.

Chint Power T & D located in Shanghai Songjiang, built a garden-style industrial park which covers an area of 900000m, which is one of the largest scale power transmission and distribution equipment production base in the world and it is included Shanghai 20 major industrial upgrading projects. The company has a registered capital of 850 million Yuan, gross investment 2,800 million Yuan. Now the company has 4,300 employees and there are 8 senior engineers of professor level, 63 staffs with senior title, 28 doctors and masters, 30% of staffs college-educated. In 2009, the company achieved sales revenues of 2.69356 billion Yuan.

Chint Power T & D has 10 divisions and product lines which covered the whole series of power transmission and distribution, mainly

manufacturing 110-500kV power transformer, 10-35kV distribution transformer, 126252kV GIS, high pressure breaker and disconnecting switch, 500kV and below lighting arrester and insulator, 200kV and below instrument

transformer, 10-35kV fuse, 0.66kV-40.5kV packaged switchgear, package substation, distribution automation device, 35kV and below wire and cable etc. Also it has the ability of undertaking the turn key projects with total package services.

Lots of CHINT products have been assessed as national, provincial and municipal brand products. For example, the independent R&D HV SF6 circuit breaker type LW43-252 awarded the national key new product and fills the domestic blank; GIS type ZF21126 awarded National Torch Program projects; 500kV transformer and intelligent GIS are classified as special development program of major technologies and equipment in Shanghai. All kinds of products have been widely used in the State Grid, China Southern Power, West-East electricity transmission project, West-East natural gas transmission project, Three Gorges Project, Qinghai-Tibet Railway, CCTV, Capital International Airport and other domestic key projects. CHINT products have been exported to more than 30 countries and areas such as Estonia, Romania, Poland, Ecuador, Russia, Japan, Italy, and Australia etc.
