Change not a Revolution Over the past few years literacy critics as well as important government figures have

been pointing towards a revolution for Pakistan. Due to the never ending cases of corruption, violence and extreme mismanagement at the government level, various political leaders are stating that Pakistan is now moving towards gradual revolution. ome even feel that it is an essential aspect that needs to be taken seriously in order to improve the present situation of our country. !owever the "uestion is not whether or not Pakistan needs a revolution, instead the important "uestion is whether our beloved country is capable of handling a revolution or not. # revolution cannot be brought about while the citi$ens of a country are crushed and trodden with a feeling of hopelessness. %oreover a revolution is brought about by people who are driven to bring about change& however what many don't reali$e is that once a revolution is finally achieved, we have yet to invent the end we would like to achieve. (nstead a ma)ority of political parties today are only craving for the short period of bliss. *ut this short period of bliss ends a bit too "uickly, and once it is over, it takes a country prolonged periods of times to produce positive results. +ot only than when establishing a revolution more than often it results in country wide violence, much like what is happening today in Pakistan. #nd eventually when things get a bit too out of hand the country lands a dictatorship. ,hile we speak so fre"uently of a revolution, we must understand that we are no -rench, and neither will a revolution will be anything like the -rench coup of ./0.. Our country is still considered as part of the developing world, we simply cannot cope with a setback of such a magnitude. +ot only that a revolution at this point will only strengthen those who are already in very fragile positions. # rebellion right now will mean that the present government will continue to stick around )ust to bring the situation in control. #n uprising at this stage in Pakistan will only cause property destruction, as if the bombings were not enough. !ence a note to all politicians that are driving the young and old on putting their vote on a revolution, Pakistan is not ready for a revolution. *ut however, if we were to ponder change in Pakistan, change is a plausible idea. *ut change would mean that every individual will need to rectify their wrongs on individual basis. 1ach individual will need to play his or her own part in brining change to Pakistan. !ence this year on the 23rd of %arch, lets talk of change in our country instead of a revolution.
