APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Include the following with your application: Resume A typed-letter, addressed to the Scholarship Committee, detailing your qualifications. In the letter, please focus on the criteria in which you are evaluated: need, academic merit, community involvement, and personal achievement. You may also explain any circumstance that you would like the committee to consider but should address the four areas specifically. Do not submit a resume and letter for each scholarship of interest. For application purposes, only one inclusive resume and letter are required. Return the completed application, with supporting documentation, to the Office of Financial Assistance by Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 5pm. Scholarship decisions will be made after February 1, 2014. Please review the criteria for each scholarship and place a check mark in the box next to each scholarship that you would like to apply for.

Restricted and Endowed Scholarships: Selection is based on financial need, academic merit, community involvement, and personal achievement. A full list of these scholarships is available at http://law.pepperdine.edu. All students are encouraged to apply for this group of scholarships. Church of Christ Scholarships: Students applying for scholarships that require Church of Christ membership must have a letter on file in the Office of Financial Assistance. This letter should confirm your active membership in a local Church of Christ congregation. If you have not already done so, submit the letter with your application materials. Kae and Kay Brockermeyer Endowed Scholarship: To assist students who have an interest in trial advocacy and are residents of Texas. JD/MBA Scholarship: Must be enrolled in the joint JD and MBA program. Dr. Clara Lincoln Endowed Scholarship: To assist students who intend to pursue a career in domestic or family law. Pillsbury Scholarship: To assist a second or third year student, ranked in the top 10% of his or her class. The applicant must be an active member of the Moot Court Board and is a Law Review Editor. Barbara A. Shacochis Scholarship: Must be a member of the Law Review; preference will be given to third year Law Review students and/or editors of the Law Review. The Benjamin G. Shatz Scholarship: To assist second or third year students who have active membership with the Jewish Law Student Association. Stuart Silverman Scholarship: To assist students who have overcome a major tragedy or hardship.
