AIEEE Paper Pattern Last Updated On: 02 Nov 2011 All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is carried

out by the CBSE to gether with the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, MHRD. This exam is conducted to admit students to some of the top institutions in the country like IIT s, NIT s and other state level engineering colleges. The entrance in to these c olleges purely depends in the rank secured by the participant in the AIEEE Exam. The students who have secured high score will get an admission call from most o f the renowned colleges in India. From this year onwards, the AIEEE is also offering online exam to around lakh s tudents. It will be allotted on the first come first serve basis. Rest of the st udents can give the exam in the traditional paper based pattern. The AIEEE Exam are mainly carried out to select qualified candidates to the BE/B. Tech courses and also B.Arch/B. Planning courses offered in the top most colleges in the cou ntry. AIEEE Paper Pattern AIEEE paper consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 has three sections: -Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with equal weigh t for each subject. Each section consists of multiple choice objective-type ques tions each of which has four choices. Out of the four choices for a given questi on, only one choice is correct. Paper 1 has a negative-marking scheme wherein an incorrect answer is negatively marked with one fourth of the maximum marks allo tted to the question. Paper 2 has three sections: -Mathematics, Drawing, and Aptitude. Mathematics, an d Drawing sections have multiple choice objective-type questions and the Aptitud e section has drawing-based questions. The duration of each paper is of three hours. In IIT JEE Engineering Entrance Exam, one of the toughest questions which a yout h has to face while they are trying their level best to get admission in prestig ious IIT institutes of country. The IIT JEE Exam pattern is not very significant ly changed as year passes by but the questions in IIT JEE entrance brings new ch allenge in front of candidate. The questions at IIT JEE will include integration of concepts which student has gone through the chapters prescribed in different text books of subjects that were taught to them in class 11th & 12th standard. This is engineering competition exam, therefore its main subjects are - Physics, chemistry & mathematics, as IIT s are engineering & technology oriented institute s. IIT JEE Exam requires core understanding of the subjects; it s far more differe nt from than state level .Cracking the level of IIT JEE will require good level of mathematical techniques along with overall deep understanding of the subject. The IIT JEE Exam pattern took a new curve. IIT JEE is now having single phase ex amination of objective question only in all the sections, of all three subjects. It s able to make out the ability of student on the basis of his analytical & log ical skill and able to judge his comprehension level. IIT JEE Exam 2012 Pattern:IIT-JEE 2012 is a single-stage examination divided into two papers. Each paper i s of three hours and consists of three separate sections, comprising of question s from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Paper 1:- This Paper has 84 questions in total - in the order of Chemistry, Math ematics and Physics. Each subject had 28 questions and the pattern was exactly t he same for all the subjects. All questions carried 3 marks. Hence the maximum m ark for the paper is 252. Paper 2:- This Paper has 57 questions in total - in the order of Chemistry, Math ematics and Physics. Each subject had 19 questions and as in paper 2 the pattern was exactly the same across the subjects. But questions had differential markin gs, each subject had 79 marks and the maximum mark for the paper is 237. There will be 2 question papers with 3 hrs of duration with multiple choice answ ers. Both the question papers will consist of three separate sections on Chemist ry, Physics and Mathematics. They will be of objective type, designed to test co mprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. The answers for each of the questions are to be recorded on a separate, speciall y designed, machine-gradable sheet of paper (ORS Optical Response Sheet). While answering each of the questions the candidate is expected to darken the bubble(s ) against correct answer(s) using hard black (HB) pencils only. In some sections , incorrect answers may be awarded negative mark
