CHARACTERESTICS OF HIIGH RISE BUILDINGS

What is a HighHigh-Rise Building ?? Tall buildings cannot be defined in specific terms related just to height or to the number of floors. floors.
-A building whose height creates different conditions in the design, construction, use than those that exist in common buildings of a certain region and period period. . - A Structure because of its height, is affected by lateral forces due to wind or earthquake actions to an extent that they play an important role in the structural design. design.

Why Tall Building (Advantage)??

From Business POV POV: : business activities need to be as close to each other . From tourist community POV POV: : It forms prestige symbols, distinctive land marks, hotels and commercial city centers centers. . High cost of land and limited space ( Tokyo, Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro, Janeiro,.. ..) ).

Disadvantage of Tall Building ??

Putting intense pressure on the available land space . Increase the risk , safety hazards and constitute an easy target in case of war or terrorism terrorism. .
