GNP (gross national product) is the total value of goods and services produced by the nationals of a country in year. So the GNP of Pakistan will include the value of goods and services produced by a Pakistani company in Japan but it will not include the value of goods produced by a Japanese company in Pakistan. GNP = GDP - (value of income from foreign assets) + (value of income from local assets that are abroad) Hope that clears the concept.
