INTRODUCTION: Health promotion as stated in the World Health Organization is the process of enabling people to increase control over , and to improve, their health. It is the promotion of health ideas and concepts to motivate individ!als to adopt health behaviors to"ards a "ide range of social and environmental interventions# Health promotion is also a complementar term alongside "ith disease prevention# On the other hand$ disease prevention is considered to be an action !s!all emanates from the health sector$ dealing "ith individ!als and pop!lations identified as e%hibiting identifiable ris& factors$ often associated "ith different ris& behaviors# The Department of Health la!nched a nation"ide health lifest le movement

It is the polic of (anabo (ol medic Hospital Inc# .((HI3 that its emplo ees shall encompass "ith the Department of Health4s )o*Health (rogram .)o ,igla$ )o ,lo" for Taga $ )o ,mo&e -ree$ )o ,!stans a3 in forming health habits and practicing a health lifest le thro!gh the promotion of * health behaviors ./# (h sical activit $ 0# Health diet$ 1# No smo&ing$ *# 2voiding the harmf!l !se of alcohol3# This program directs involvement of hospital emplo ee at all organizational levels in the planning$ implementation$ and activities of the intervention that empo"ers people to ma&e health lifest le choices and motivating them to become betterself9managers# Whereas$ ((HI emplo ees m!st sign a pledge of being ambassadors of:for health lifest les in accordance "ith ((HI4s health programs dedicating oneself to be models and legitimate e%amples for good health "ithin the "or&place$ environment$ and comm!nit # In instances that the hospital personnel do not abide "ith the implemented hospital polic in line "ith this program certain disciplinar sanction is ass!med#

/3 Information dissemination of the !pcoming health program shall be cond!cted b the Health and Wellness Committee that is approved b 2dministrator# 03 In instances that the 2dministrator4s Office of (anabo (ol medic Hospital Inc# receives a local invitation from a certain comm!nit or vice versa$ the t"o parties shall arrange an agreement for the !pcoming lect!re or program in promoting health habits# 13 If the local invitation has been approved b the 2dministrator4s Office$ the t"o parties shall decide on "hat$ "ho$ "hen$ "here$ and ho" the lect!re is to be cond!cted# *3 The approved memo shall be posted ahead of time .a "ee& or month prior to the event3 on the hospital4s b!lletin board and in each department# ;3 On that same da of dissemination$ Hospital ,taff shall sign the Health and the Hospital
