Quality Assurance A. Reference Codes and Standards: Comply with applicable Saudi Aramco Standards, Codes and Standards as specified herein and listed in Section 15001. Insulation shall meet NFPA-90A requirements for flame spread and smoke generation and UL-181 requirements for antierosion, corrosion and fungus properties. Electric heating coils, when specified shall be UL or ETL listed and designed to comply with UL Standard 1096.

PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 General A. Factory-assembled, pressure independent type externally powered, variable air volume control terminal. Unit shall be complete with a damper assembly, flow sensor, collars for duct connection and all required features. Control box shall be clearly marked with an identification label that lists such information as nominal cfm, maximum and minimum factoryset airflow limits, coil type and coil hand, where applicable.

Unit Cabinet A. Constructed of 22-gage (20-gage optional) galvanized steel with round or rectangular inlet collar and rectangular discharge with slip and drive connection. Insulated with 1-in. thick, 3-lb equivalent density mat-faced insulation that meets the requirements of UL-181 and NFPA90A. A non-perforated internal sheet metal cover. CAV boxes used in Clinic Building shall be provided with external insulation and shall be approved for health care application. Extending over the fiberglass insulation and covering the liner cut edges shall be provided.

Damper Assembly A. The control air damper assembly shall be constructed of heavy gage steel with solid shaft rotating in bearings. Damper shaft shall be marked on the end to indicate damper position. Damper blade shall incorporate a flexible gasket for tight air-flow shutoff and operate over a full 90 degrees.

Controls A. Units shall have pressure-independent controls. Capable of maintaining required airflow set points 5% of the unit's capacity at any inlet pressure up to6-in. wg. The unit inlet shallbe provided with multiple averaging velocity sensor probes. VAV terminals controls shall be coordinate with the Building automation system.

Electric Heating Coil A. Electric coils shall be mounted in a minimum 20 gage zinc coated steel casing and shall be UL listed. Elements shall be nickel chrome and sup-ported by ceramic isolators. The integral control panel shall be housed in a NEMA 1 enclosure, with hinged access door for access to all controls and safety devices. Electric coils shall contain a primary automatic reset thermal cutout and differential pressure airflow switch for proof of airflow Electric coils shall include fused door interlocking disconnect switch, mercury contactors, fuse block, dust tight enclosure construction, all mounted and/or wired within the control enclosure. Heaters shall be designed for the capacity, electrical characteristics and steps of control as shown on the equipment schedule. Coils shall be factory wired and shall include all limit switches.
