(1) . is going on all the time. In discussing the interpretation of nonverbal messages, we saw that a significant percentage of all social meaning is conveyed through nonverbal stimuli. Nonverbal communication works in conjunction with the words that we utter in six ways. Let us consider each of these briefly. (1) .. occurs when the same message is sent verbally and nonverbally.
