What is a SharePoint Online Store


AX Retail support two basic types of retail channels: retail stores and online channels. Typically, a retail store represents a brick and mortar store, while an online channel is an online store. A SharePoint online store is one online channel hosted on Microsoft SharePoint.

How to Create a SharePoint Online Store in AX


The retail operation manager can create and configuration a SharePoint online store in AX Retail, in order to define and change the behaviors of the online store on SharePoint. 1. Open the online store list page by clicking on Retail > Common > Retail channels > Online stores.

2. Click Online store new button

3. Specify a value for the following fields: a. Name (required): name of the online store.

b. Operating unit number (required): the unique identifier for the online store. If the number sequence for the operating unit number is set up properly, it should generate a value for this field by default. c. Company (required): the company that the online store is operating in. The value of this field affects the values of Warehouse and Default customer. d. Warehouse (required): the warehouse of the online store. e. Search name: the store name for search f. Publishing status (read only): Draft, In progress, Published, or Failed. Category hierarchy: the hierarchy of product categories. i. Last updated (read only): the last modified time of the online store. j. Currency: the default online store currency. k. Default customer (required): the customer of anonymous orders l. Customer address book: the address book containing all customers of the store m. Price includes sales tax: indicator of whether the sales price includes the sales tax o. Email notification profile: the set of email templates e.g. order confirmation p. Payment connector: the connector to payment services. See more about How to create a payment connector. q. Languages: the display languages that the online store supports. Only language can be the default language. r. Financial dimensions: the financial dimension associated with the online store for reporting features.

4. Click Close and save the online store
