1. Wave propagation, reflections on transmission lines 1.1. Discuss the terms wave, wavelength, phase constant , distributed line parameters R,L,C, and G, characteristic impedance ZL with respect to RF circuits that are described in the frequency domain. 1.2. How does a reflection coefficient at the end of a line that is fed with a matched source produce a standing wave. What is the VSWR? 1.3. What are scattering parameters (definition, measurement, content, examples in dB and linear)? 1.4. Describe and compare five different transmission line types.
