Wooster, OH 05/2013 - 07/2013 Software Analyst Worked in a small team to reduce the run time of Goodyear's Multi-Performance Optimization (MPO) tool as part of The College of Wooster's Applied Mathematics Research Experience (AMRE). The tool was written in Matlab, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Excel, where Microsoft Excel acted as a front end for data manipulation and organization, while Matlab was used to carry out the optimization process. Research involved weekly presentations and deadlines with a goal of producing deliverables in the form of a more efficient optimization tool and a final report. Research team thoroughly analyzed the code to determine where slow down was occurring and devised a method, Multithreading, that allowed for a 35% increase in speed.
