JESUS CHRIST (PEACE BE UPON HIM)

The following account deals with the true concept of Jesus

Christ (peace be upon him) in both the major religions of
the world, Islam and Christianity.

Islam makes it an article of faith to believe in Jesus (pbuh).

No Muslim is a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus
(pbuh). Muslims’ faith is that Jesus (pbuh) was one of the
mightiest messengers of Allah (God) and was the only
messenger who was born miraculously without any male
intervention. His main title was Messiah translated Christ
(pbuh) who used to give life to the dead with God’s permission and healed those born blind and the
lepers with God’s permission. Jesus.(pbuh) did not claim divinity in his entire life nor was he killed
rather raised up alive by Allah, un hurt and will return to earth before end of time fulfilling one of
the major prophecies of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) related to end of universe.

There is a complete Chapter in the Holy Qur’an by the name of Maryam (Mary) especially dedicated
for Jesus (pbuh) and his family. Some of the verses are as follows.

Holy Qur’an-Ch 19-Mary-Verse 29-35:

29. But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
30. He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
31. "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as
long as I live; 32. "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable; 33. "So
peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life
(again)"! 34. Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly)
dispute. 35. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him!
when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.

Now, The three major misconceptions which we see around in the Christian world, Jesus (pbuh)’s
death, his claim to be God and the concept of TRINITY, were merely developed by the Christian
elders and due to this very reason Jesus (pbuh) will return to earth before the end of time for proving
them to be wrong and killing the Antichrist (Dajjal) for the peace to prevail on earth. Jesus (pbuh) is
the only messenger of Allah from the total of 124 thousand messengers in the history of mankind,
whose followers, majority of them consider him to be divine, the begotten son of God and was killed
by Jews on the cross ruthlessly. All these type of things, attributed to Jesus (pbuh) are unique in the
sense because none of the other messengers of Allah faced these types of allegations which the
Christians attribute to Jesus Christ (pbuh). His return is also mentioned in Bible without any doubt.
The principal paradox in today’s western world is that Bible, is the only habitually misunderstood
book by the westerners specially Christians. Although Bible is not the book which the Muslims
believe rather INJEEL is the one revealed on Jesus (pbuh).

Today, Christians are unable to present INJEEL, instead, they have

Bibles written by John, Mathew, Mark, Luke etc and not Jesus
(pbuh) himself. Even then, the whole series of Bibles does not
contain the word TRINITY, these Bibles does not mention Jesus
(pbuh) claiming divinity and does not mention the death of Jesus
(pbuh) yet ironically Christians believe on these false notions which
the Paul and Pope given to them and don’t get verses of Bible in
context. The descriptions from Bible are as follows.

NEGATİON OF “TRINITY”

If a=b=c then none of a,b or c can have superiority over another, none can be greater or lesser than
the other.

The following verses freom Bible are self explanatory without any doubt proving Jesus (pbuh) to be
the Messenger of the only ONE God (Allah) – the greatest.

(i) "My Father is greater than I."

[The Bible, John 14:28]

(ii) "My Father is greater than all."

[The Bible, John 10:29]

(iii) "…I cast out devils by the Spirit of God…."

[The Bible, Mathew 12:28]

(iv) "…I with the finger of God cast out devils…."

[The Bible, Luke 11:20]

(v) "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek
not my own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."
[The Bible, John 5:30]

NEGATION OF “DIVINITY”

There are a number of verses which have been interpreted by the Catholic and Protestant Churches
as evidence for the Divinity of Jesus Christ (pbuh). However, on close examination of these verses,
it becomes evident that, either their wordings are ambiguous, leaving them open to a number of
different interpretations, or they are additions not found in the early manuscripts of the Bible. The
following are some of the most commonly quoted arguments.
1. The Alpha and Omega

In the Book of Revelation 1, verse 8, it is implied that Jesus said the following about himself: “I am
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which
is to come, the Almighty.”

These are the attributes of God. Consequently, Jesus (pbuh), according to early Christians, is here
claiming divinity. However, the above-mentioned wording is according to the King James Version.
In the Revised Standard Version, biblical scholars corrected the translation and wrote: “I am the
Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the
Almighty.” A correction was also made in the New American Bible produced by Catholics. The
translation of that verse has been amended to put it in its correct context as follows: “The Lord God
says: ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the one who is and who was, and who is to come, the
Almighty.’ ” With these corrections, it becomes evident that this was a statement of God and not a
statement of Prophet Jesus (pbuh).

2. The Pre-existence of Christ

Another verse commonly used to support the divinity of Jesus (pbuh) is John 8:58: “Jesus said unto
them, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.’ ”

This above mentioned verse is taken to imply that Jesus (pbuh) existed prior to his appearance on
earth. The conclusion drawn from it is that Jesus (pbuh) must be God, since his existence predates
his birth on earth. However, the concept of the pre-existence of the prophets, and of man in general,
exists in both the Old Testament, as well as in the Qur‘an. Jeremiah described himself in The Book
of Jeremiah 1:4-5 as: “ 5Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, 5 ‘Before I formed you in the
womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the
nations.’ ”

Prophet Solomon is reported in Proverbs 8:23-27, to have said, “23Ages ago I was set up at the
first, before the beginning of the earth. 24When there were no depths I was brought forth, when
there were no springs abounding with water, 25Before the mountains had been shaped, before the
hills, I was brought forth; 26before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of
the world 27When he established the heavens, I was there.”

According to Job 38:4 and 21, God addresses Prophet Job as follows: “4Where were you when I laid
the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding... 21You Know, for you were born
then, and the number of your days is great!”

In the Qur‘an, Chapter al-A‘raaf, (7):172, God informed that man existed in the spiritual form before
the creation of the physical world.

ْ ‫ﺴ ِﻬ ْﻢ َأ َﻟ‬
ِ ‫ﻋﻠَﻰ َأ ْﻧ ُﻔ‬
َ ‫ﺷ َﻬ َﺪ ُه ْﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﻇﻬُﻮ ِر ِه ْﻢ ُذرﱢﻳﱠ َﺘ ُﻬ ْﻢ َوَأ‬

ْ ‫ﻦ ﺑَﻨِﻲ ﺁ َد َم ِﻣ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺧ َﺬ َر ﱡﺑ‬

َ ‫ﻦ هَﺬَا ﻏَﺎ ِﻓﻠِﻴ‬ ْ‫ﻋ‬ َ
“When your Lord gathered all of Aadam’s descendants [before creation] and made them bear
witness for themselves, saying: ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They all replied: Yes indeed, we bear
witness. [That was] so you could not say on the Day of Judgement: ‘We were unaware of this.’ ”

Consequently, Prophet Jesus’ statement, “Before Abraham was, I am,” cannot be used as evidence of
his divinity. Within the context of John 8:54-58, Jesus is purported to have spoken about God’s

NEGATİON OF “DEATH”

Recall the occasion when Jesus (pbuh) returned to that upper room after his alleged crucifixion: 'And
saith unto them, (his disciples),

"..Jesus himself stood in their midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you...But they were terrified,
and supposing that they were seeing a spirit... And he said unto them,.. 'Behold my hands and my
feet, that it is I myself: handle me and see; for a spirit has no flesh and bones, as you see me have'...
And showed them his hands and feet... And while they yet believed not for joy and wondered, he
said unto them, 'Have ye here any meat?'.. And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, and of a
honeycomb... And he took it, and did eat before them." (Luke 24:36-43)

Let’s analyse the above

When one recognizes one's long-lost friend or one's beloved, the natural reaction is to feel overjoyed,
elated and one wants to embrace and kiss the hands and feet of the beloved. Why did they get
terrified???

Obviously because they (the disciples) thought that they were seeing a ghost.

So now the question is, Did Jesus (pbuh) look like a ghost???

Definitly, No.

Then why did they think that they were seeing a ghost when he did not look like a ghost???

It’s just because disciples of Jesus (pbuh) were not eye-witnesses or ear-witnesses to the actual
happenings of the previous three days. It’s evident from St. Mark who says that at the most critical
juncture in the life of Jesus (pbuh): "they all forsook him and fled." (Mark 14:50). All the
knowledge of the disciples regarding their Master was from hearsay. They had heard that their
master was hanged on the Cross; they had heard that he had given up the Ghost; they had heard that
he was dead and buried for three days. If one is confronted by a person with such a reputation then
the conclusion is inescapable; they must be seeing a ghost. Little wonder these ten brave men were
petrified.

So now, in order to disabuse their minds from the fear that gripped them, Jesus (pbuh) reasoned with
them. He said: 'Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself' To put it in colloquial English, this
is how he told them: 'What is wrong with you fellows, can't you see that I am the same person - who
walked and talked with you, broke bread with you - flesh and blood in all respects. Why do doubts
enter your minds? 'Handle me and see, for a spirit has no flesh and bones as you see me have.' (Luke
24:39).

In other words he is telling them: 'If I have flesh and bones, then I am not a ghost, not a spook and
not a spirit!'. Jesus (pbuh) is telling them, as recorded in this verse, in basic English, that what the
disciples were asked to "handle and see" was not a translated body, not a metamorphosed body and
not a resurrected body, because a resurrected body is a spiritualised body. He is telling them in the
clearest language humanly possible that he is not what they were thinking. They were thinking that
he was a spirit, a resurrected body, one having been brought back from the dead.

Jesus (pbuh) is very catagoric that he is not!
