What is Discovery?
Discovery is National Parks and Wildlife Services state-wide environmental education program. Through our walks, talks and tours we aim to foster enjoyment of our national parks and provide visitors with an opportunity to see how we manage reserves for natural and cultural heritage conservation and recreation.

What is WilderQuest?
WilderQuest is an innovative, fun childrens program which combines digital and real-life adventures that encourage children to engage in nature. WilderQuest includes the WilderQuest website, iPad app, Discovery activities and teacher resoruces. The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service developed WilderQuest so that kids can explore and experience the wonders of the natural world all around them. Note to participants:

Bookings are essential to ensure places in the activities. Printed finishing times are approximate and activities may be cancelled or altered due to unforseen circumstances. Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult (the child rate is for children aged 516 years: children under 5 years attend free). Family rates are for 2 adults and up to 3 children. When attending activities, please bring drinking water, appropriate clothing (particularly footwear), sun protection and a snack. Vehicle entry fees apply in some parks.

Welcome to another packed Discovery Summer Holiday Program 2014. This year, nd several new activities as well as regular days and places to help you plan your adventures in national parks across the coast and highlands. Regular days and places are: Every Wednesday of the holidays 10:00am to 12:30pm Minnamurra Rainforest Centre WILDERQUEST MEET THE RANGER! Come for a guided 20-minute walk exploring the rainforest and hearing about some of its secrets. Identify the creatures who live here, nd out what they look like, what they sound like & how they hide. Meet: Minnamurra Rainforest Centre Bring: Sun protection, water, snack Grade: Easy Cost: By donation ($2 per participant) Saturdays 10:00 am to 12:00 noon Nerang Rd Picnic Area Bomaderry Ck RP BUNADA JERRA-LALI (BOMADERRY CREEK STORIES) Join Aboriginal Discovery Rangers for this unique opportunity hear about this natural oasis and its culture from ancient times to the National Apology. Visit Wanda at the Lady Denman to paint boomerangs or take a bushtucker tour and enjoy a cup of bush tea. Meet: Dent St, Huskisson Bring: Sun protection, snack, water. Join the Discovery Rangers at Gambells Rest in search of the brilliant butteries of Bundanoon. This Summer, the Discovery Rangers have teamed up with Holiday Haven Tourist Parks across the Shoalhaven for a range of fun adventures with visitors to the South Coast. Programs include Koori culture, WilderQuest craft and WilderQuest beach activities.
