Objectives
To introduce organizational Behaviour and understand various related concepts. To develop an understanding of human behaviour in orgnisational setting. To understand the relationship between behaviour and performance. To promote value driven culture in the organisation.

Course Outline
The emphasis of the course is on behaviour at the individual level and how it impacts managerial and organizational effectiveness. The course will help the participants deepen the understanding of human behaviour in the organizational context. This will definitely enhance the applicability of the course in real life situations.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the students would be able to: 1. To introduce the concepts of OB. 2. Learn to motivate self. 3. Develop attitude for a positive work life. 4. Apply various theories of OB in real life situations. 5. Develop an understanding of OB for organizations effectiveness.

Pedagogy
Each session will begin with a stimulus (pedagogy) and it will be related to the concept being discussed in the class. Endeavour in the class will be to ponder over, and build the concept through discussion. To draw maximum mileage, students are expected to come prepared and participate. The pedagogy used in the classroom will consist of case studies, role plays, management games, clippings and exercises.

Modalities to be followed while discussing the case study


Cases will be provided to the students 1 session in advance. After reading, as per the instructions given in the case, students have to pen down the solutions. The originality and applicability of the solutions will be appreciated while evaluating and marking of the case The solutions have to be submitted on the specified date and time; the date and time will be announced 1 session in advance in the class. Students failing to submit the case on time will have to bear the loss, as after the specified date no submissions will be accepted. On the schedule day of the discussion, groups will be formed in the class. Groups will be given 15 minutes to discuss the case and then the group solution will be discussed by relating it with the theory. The endeavor in the class will be to build an understanding of the theory with the help of the case. This will be followed by briefing from the faculty. Students are expected to carry writing pad and pen for noting down the important points.
