1. Take note of the ocean here in the Philippines and all over the world.

Search in the Google Map. Make a map of the location of the oceans in the Philippines and all over the world.

2. Make and diagram the interrelationships/interactions of the physical structure and biological structure and functions of the wetland ecosystem.

3. Make a photo-essay of the biodiversity of this ecosystem.

4. Search in the internet a DVD presentation about an ocean. Submit this presentation and give your reaction on this presentation. Give the unique and distinguishing characteristics of an ocean.

Reaction: We all think that things are fine with our oceans and seas but this short movie will definitely open our eyes to see the actual destruction that is now happening in our waters and it will also tell us that the problems are because of us. This movie explains everything we need to know about how it all happened and how to stop it or at least, minimize it.

The ocean is the largest body of water. Its ecosystem is very unique among other aquatic ecosystems. The amount of saltwater that is used to maintain the landscape is the greater than the amount of freshwater needed. The ocean has distinct characteristics and a variety of life forms that can only be found in this environment.

5. Go to a nearby ocean in your area. Observe the unique features. Make a photoessay of this ocean. Now, if you do not have an ocean ecosystem near your area, research in the internet about this ecosystem.

The Pacific is the largest ocean, occupying about 1/3 of the globe. Its area excluding adjacent seas is 165.25 square kilometers. The water volume of the Pacific is double or more than double the water volume of the Atlantic.

6. Make a photo-essay with regards to the impacts of climate change on ocean as an ecosystem. Include also the impacts on the people residing near the ocean, economic effects and impacts on biodiversity. Now, research on particular areas especially in the Southeast Asia which had been affected

by climate change and include the impacts in your photo-essay.

7. Research also various conservation efforts and practices of different agencies Aftermath of such as international agencies, national Typhoon Yolanda agencies, non-government agencies, local in the communities, and indigenous people about the Philippines ocean.
DENRs Coral Triangle Initiative: The Journey Continues to Save Biodiversity (http://www.denr.gov.ph/news-and-features/features/28-coral-triangle-initiative-the-journeycontinues-to-save-biodiversity.html) Marine Conservation Institute (MCI) http://www.marine-conservation.org

Marine Conservation Institute is a leader in the global movement to protect and recover the integrity of vast ocean areas. Seas At Risk http://www.seas-at-risk.org Seas At Risk is an independent non-governmental federation of national and international environmental organisations concerned with the protection and restoration of the marine environment, specifically the waters of the North and Irish Seas and the wider North East Atlantic. DEEPWAVE http://www.deepwave.org The earth is a planet of water: 60 percent of the surface belongs to the high and deep seas. This ecosystem is the largest realm on earth for millions of plants and animals, a major actor in the dynamics of the global climate. It is also a rich resource for the growing demands of the world's increasing population. But the oceans are daily under strong attack: pollution and mismanagement of marine resources threaten the fragile balance of this unique biotope. ECOP-marine http://www.ecop.info ECOP-marine was created in 2002 and we now work together with the ECOP-marine group of ECOTERRA Int. We are a fully independent group, demanding better protection for the oceans of our earth as well as for its inhabitants, convinced that the continued destruction of the oceans is unacceptable. MarViva http://www.marviva.net/ MarViva promotes the protection and establishment of protected areas in the ocean, on islands, and in coastal areas of Ibero America and the Caribbean, provides support for the enforcement of legislation concerning these areas, and fosters an effective change towards a more sustainable use of marine and coastal resources.

8. Design the most suitable and appropriate management/conservation plan of the ocean ecosystem in your respective country.
As we all know, our ocean is now facing many threats and conservation issues as a result to changes. These changes in the ocean are continuing to occur due to climate change, illegal means of fishing, and pollution. The destruction of the ocean will greatly affect the country, economically and environmentally. Under this management plan are ways how to stop the occurring dangers in the ocean and how we can all help in our own little ways.

This management plan will improve the understanding of the people about how the ocean has gotten to this. It will help them know how to save the ocean. It will inform them how important the ocean is to the country. It will also seek the help of the government, non-government organizations, and every Filipino volunteer to extend its reach to far-flung areas.
