Corporation, a nodal agent of the Govt. of West Bengal, under the administrative control of the Food and Supplies Department is entrusted with the work of procurement of different commodities like Paddy, Cement, Sugar, Edible Oil, Pulses, Wheat, Edible Salt for its (except cement) public distribution in a massive scale through the network of Distributors/Dealers/Govt. & Statutory Bodies in West Bengal. 2. No candidate will be allowed to apply for more than one post. If applications are received for more than one post from an applicant only the first received application will be considered.

3. i) Application fees of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only in cash for each post vide Sl. No. 1 to 3 and Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) only in cash for each post vide Sl. No. 4 to 11 by means of deposit in any branch of Punjab National Bank throughout India. ii) Only SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and persons with disability (40%) are exempted from paying any Application Fee. iii) Fees once paid are not refundable in any case. 4. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC(A), OBC(B) of West Bengal only can apply for the posts reserved for the concerned community. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC(A), OBC(B) of other states will be treated as General Candidate 5. Those who are in service in Govt./Public Undertakings/ Govt. Statutory Bodies must apply through proper channel. In such cases the candidates will have to apply online first. Online application will be treated as advanced copy without which his/her candidature will not be accepted. A hardcopy of the said Application must be forwarded to us through proper channel within 02 (two) months from the closing date of online submission of application. 6. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for appearing at the Screening Test / Interview. 7. Selection Procedure: Recruitment is purely merit based. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of Screening test and Interview/only interview. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidate to be called for Screening test/interview. Short-listing of the candidates, if required, may be made prior to the Screening Test/Interview. a) Selection of DGM, DGM (F), AGM, Jr. AM, Jr. AM(F) will be done through interview if applications are received less than equal to 25 for each post. If the number of applications are more than 25 in each case, selection will be made through screening test and interview. b) The selection for the post of Commercial Inspector, Stenographer, Auditor, Law Assistant, Assistant Grade-II and Cashier will be made through screening test and interview. The number breakup of selection through screening test and interview is 60:40 that is screening test is 60 and interview is 40. In the interview process-

In case of Asst. Grade-II, 40 marks is divided as 20 for interview and 20 for Computer Test. In case of Stenographer, 40 marks is divided as 20 for interview and 10 for Computer Typing Speed Test (minimum speed 40 w.p.m.) and 10 for Dictation Speed Test (minimum speed 100 w.p.m.)

In case of selection through interview the full marks of interview is 25. 8. The question paper will be of objective type-MCQ The subjects and the number distribution of the Screening Test will be as follows a. General Awareness-15
b. General English (Syllabus-Grammar and Composition)-15 c. Arithmetic (Standard-Upto Madhyamik)-15 d. Reasoning-15 9. Instructions/guidelines as may be issued by this Corporation from time to time in the matter of Screening Test/Interview shall be binding on the candidates. 10.No communication from the candidate in regard to this recruitment will be entertained by the Authority of the Corporation.

11. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in West Bengal. 12. In case of Exempted Category (EC), candidates sponsored by the Directorate of Employment (E.C. Cell), West Bengal only will be considered. However, it is mandatory for those candidates to apply online within the closing date of 10/01/2014. But until and unless his/her name is sponsored by the Employment Exchange, his/her candidature will not be accepted as Exempted Category Candidate. 13. In case of other categories, those candidates sponsored by the Employment Exchange of West Bengal, may be considered. However, it is mandatory for them to apply online within the closing date of 10/01/2014. Without receipt of online application within the scheduled date his/her name will not be considered even though sponsored by the Employment Exchange. 14. No hard copy of the documents will be uploaded except scanned copies of photograph and signature. 15. Checking of documents relating to age, community (SC,ST,OBC(A),OBC(B), where applicable), category (Physically Disabled, Ex-Serviceman, Meritorious Sportsperson, where applicable),academic qualifications, experiences, where applicable, and others, as may be required, will be done before Interview of the candidates who will be called for the same. In case of non-production of any document, as stated, on the day of checking of documents, his/her candidature will be summarily rejected even though he/she qualified in the Screening Test. 16. At the time of document checking if any one of the documents is found false or if the relevant contents of any document is found not at par with those filled up in the Application Form, then his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will not be able to face interview even though he/she qualified in the Screening Test. 17. At the time of document checking, no sort of relaxation will be allowed in respect to the eligibility criteria as well as Reservation status, if applicable. For example, if it is found that his age is short by one day or marks obtained in the qualification examination is shorter by 0.1% of the qualifying marks, his/her candidature will be cancelled. In that case he/she will not be able to face interview even though he/she qualified in the Screening Test. 6

18.Authority reserves the right to either cancel or modify this notice of advertisement and the decision of the appointing authority shall be final and binding on the candidate.

19. In case of any dispute or clarification specially as to the eligibility criteria decision of the Authority of the Corporation is final & binding on the applicant. 20.Abbreviation: SC/ST=Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe, OBC-Other Backward Class. PD=Person with Disability,

How to Apply & Related Information:1) Read the detail Advertisement & notice carefully. 2) Candidates must have an e-mail id that should be valid at least for one year from online registration date and a mobile number. 3) Fill the online application form with appropriate and correct data and save the data. 4) While calculating the percentage (%) of marks obtained in H.S. Level Examination, best 05 (five) subjects including 02 (two) languages and excluding Environmental Science are to be taken into account. In cases, where 05 (five) subjects are not available, all the subjects excluding Environmental Science are to be taken into account. 5) To upload your Photo and Signature, please scan your recent passport size colour photo and signature and save it in JPG format ONLY. The size of photo and signature should be 20kb or less and 10kb or less respectively. 6) Please click on upload Files to upload photo and signature. Scan your signature. Once you upload, you can see the preview of entire application with Photo & Signature for verification. 7) Once you verify your data in preview please click on Submit to submit your online application and the system provides a unique Registration Number / Application Form Number (as User Id) and a password for future reference and sends an email on successful submission of your data as token of confirmation.[if you do not receive email please check following (a) Check junk folder (b) check typo mistake in your email id (c) mailbox quota is full etc.] 8) To generate challan, please Login and click on Generate the challan. Set page in landscape orientation to print the challan.

9) Go to any Punjab National Bank Branch after one working day of the date of Online Registration and deposit fee in cash. Last day of depositing the fee is the second working day after the closing date of Online Submission of Application Form. 10) Check the deposit no and seal on challan mentioned by Branch Official and receive signed challan from him.
Bank will keep bank copy and will return the other two copies to candidate. 11) Out of the said two copies the candidate will keep one copy of the challan with him and another one will have to bring at the time of screening test and will have to hand-over the same to the invigilator.

12) Once fee has been deposited, please check your payment and submitted online application status by logging-in with your unique application number/registration no and password after 02 (two) working days of depositing the fees. 13) If you have paid fees and have seen the message Your application has been received. after login into the recruitment portal, then you have completed your registration process. Otherwise your application will be considered as incomplete application and will be rejected automatically. 14) Next step to print your online complete application form with payment info. 15) When the scrutiny and checking of submitted application will be done, the candidates selected for the Screening test, will get the intimation via e-mail and SMS for downloading/Printing the admit card from the same website. To download admit card please login and click on download admit card button. 16) The date, time and venue of the Screening Test will be shown on the Admit Card. 17) The candidate should bring the admit card along with the two challan copies as referred earlier vide pt. no. 11 and one photo identity card at the time of Screening Test. 18) If one is selected in the screening test he/she will get the information for downloading the call letter for interview through e-mail and SMS and the list of candidates to be called for interview will be uploaded in the website as well as will be displayed on the WBECSC Ltd. Notice Board. 19) The date, time and venue of the interview and document checking will be mentioned in the interview call letter. 20) After the interview the final merit list will be uploaded in the website and will be displayed in the WBECSC Ltd. Notice Board.
