UpdatefromtheBodleianLibraries SarahEThomas BodleysLibrarian

Inthepastfewyears,theBodleianLibrarieshaveundergoneatransformation,andinrecentweeks andmonths,somechangeshavetriggeredalarm,andthesuspicionthatmorerevolutionaryplans wereintheoffing.Ithasnotbeenourintentiontotakepeoplebysurprise,butthereactionto proposalstorelocatetheHistoryFacultyLibrarytotheUpperCameraortoreshelvepartsofthe collectionintheCentralBodleianLibraryhasshownthatweneedtoredoubleoureffortsto communicatewithourreaders.Weneedtoemployavarietyofwaystogetinputfromourreaders, togetourmessageouttoavoidmisunderstandingsandtogainthebestresultsforourlibrary services.Thisupdateisoneapproachtoimprovingcommunication,andtheBodleianandthe CuratorsoftheUniversityLibrariesaredevelopingaplanthatwillbemoreresponsivetotheneeds forbetterinformationflowsbetweenreadersandtheLibrariesandreadersandtheCurators. In2009,theBodleianpublisheditsAcademicStrategy,developedfollowingninemonthsofopen discussionandactiveconsultation.TheAcademicStrategyhasinformeditsdirectionoverthepast threeyears,andmanyofthechangesattheBodleianaregroundedinthegoalsreflectedinit.The AcademicStrategywasareactiontoaspecificproblem,theneedtofindasolutiontothe managementofitscollectionsfollowingthedenialoftheUniversitysappealforplanningpermission fortheDepositoryinSeptember2008.Itdescribedrelativelyshorttermactivitiesthatwouldbe undertakentoremedythematterofinadequatestorageforcollectionswhichwasabarrierto movingforwardonotherserviceambitions. Thefollowingprovidesahighlevelsummaryofthegoalsandwhathasbeenaccomplishedonthem. BehindthegoalswastheintentiontoimproveaccesstotheBodleianscollectionsandtoprovidea safeandsecureenvironmentforthem.ApersistentcriticismoftheBodleianhadbeenthetimeit tookforabooktoberetrievedanddeliveredtoreaders.Itseemedlessabadjokethanatruism thatmanypeoplefounditfastertogotoCambridgetoconsultabookthantoorderitfromthe Bodleian,andoneofthemainreasonstofavourOsneyMeadasalocationfortheDepositorywasits proximitytothecentreofOxford.Byreorganisingthecollectionstohousehighdemanditemson openshelvesandinOxford,itwouldbefeasibletoconsiderbuildingtheBookStorageFacility outsidetheringroad.EvidenceofuseofperiodicalsintheRadcliffeScienceLibraryshowedasharp declineinrequestsforprintedvolumeswhenelectronicversionswereoffered,andstudiesofJSTOR journaluseatotheruniversitiesproducedparallelresultsforperiodicalsinthehumanitiesandsocial sciences.Thisledtothegoalofincreasingonlineaccesstosupportimmediateandconvenientuse ofjournals.MovingasubstantialproportionofthecollectiontotheBookStorageFacilityinSwindon couldthereforebecountenanced,asitwasaccompaniedbystepstoimproveservice,locatinghigh

demandmaterialsforselfserviceinthecentreofOxfordandthesubstantialexpansionofelectronic content.

Goal1:AccesstoHighDemandItems
AccesstohighdemanditemshasbeenfulfilledthroughthecreationoftheGladstoneLink,which housesrecentpublicationsofacademicinterestavailableforselfserviceaccess.Openedformallyin MichaelmasTerm2011,theGladstoneLinkcontinuestobeaworkinprogressasweobserve patternsofuseandmakeadjustmentsbasedonuserfeedback.Itspopularityishigh,andconcerns thatsomereadersfinditfrustratingthattheycannotfindaparticularbookbecauseitisbeingused byanotherreaderhaveledtofasterandmorefrequentreshelving.Othersuggestions,suchas makingtheshelvingsequencemorelogicalandimprovingstaffsupportintheGladstoneLink,are beingfollowedup,withimprovementstobeimplementednolaterthanthestartofMichaelmas Term.

Goal2:OnlineAccesstoMaterials
SignificantfundinghasbeenallocatedbytheUniversitytothepurchaseofonlinebackfilesof journals,andtheBodleianhasacquiredanoutstandingbodyofelectronicresources,arguablythe bestintheUK. BoththeGladstoneLinkandtheeresourceshavebeenextremelyheavilyused,achievingthe desiredresultofreducingfetchingfromremotestorage.Ineachcase,readershavedirectaccessto highdemandmaterials,withouthavingtowaitfordeliveries,andinthecaseoferesources, Universityreadershave24/7accessatanylocationwithinternetaccess.Licencerestrictionslimit accessforpeoplewhoarenotcurrentmembersoftheUniversitytoonsiteaccess.

Goal3:EnhanceUserServicesthroughInnovation
InTrinityTermtheBodleianintroducedtheserviceinnovationofScan&Deliver,aserviceoffering anelectronicdocumentdeliverysolutionforitemsheldintheBookStorageFacility.Insteadof requestingthephysicalitemtoareadingroom,readerscanrequestscansofsectionsdirectto desktop.Itisnecessary,becauseofcopyrightregulations,tochargeafee(currently4.75),butfor someusers,theconvenienceisworththecost.Feedbackfromonememberhighlightsthevaluefor thoseworkingoutsidethecentreofOxford: Itsthemostconvenientmethodofquicklygettingjournalarticlesespeciallyforthoseofusbased upatthehospitals.IdonothavetimetorunintothecityeverytimeIfindajournalarticlethatis onlyavailableinhardcopyformatsothisserviceisperfectforme.Iwillberecommendingitto everyoneIknowwhoisbasedfarawayfromtheRSL.Thanks!!

Goal4:ImprovetheManagementofCollections
Abarcodingoperationhasvastlyimprovedcollectionmanagement.Notonlyarethe7.5million barcodeditemsmoreaccuratelyandspeedilyretrievedandreturned,buttheprocesslocated severalthousandlostbooksandincreasedthenumberofitemsrepresentedintheonline

cataloguefrom9millionto11million,makingdiscoveryofmaterialheldeasier.TheLibrariesnow havebettermanagementdataoncollectionusewhichwillenableustooptimiseshelvinglocations foritemsandcategoriesofmaterials.

Goal5:SecureLocationforHighValueCollections
Themostvaluableandimportantitemsinourcollectionsnowresideinenvironmentallysafestorage createdintheRadcliffeScienceLibrary.Anancillarybenefitofthisnewlocationforspecial collectionsisthatitemsstoredthereareretrievedmorerapidlythanwaspreviouslythenormfor retrievalstoBodleianreadingroomsfromtheNewBodleianLibrary.

Goal6:AdvanceaCoordinatedEstatesProgramme
a) Depository
OncetherevisedplansfortheBookStorageFacility(BSF)wereapproved,thefacilitywascompleted ontimeandonbudgetinjustoverayear(September2010),andarecordbreaking7million volumesand1.2millionmapsweretransferredintoitin14monthswithoutcessationofservice.

b) NewBodleianRenovation
TheNewBodleianrenovationcommencedon1August2011andisontargetforcompletionin August2014,withrestockingoccurringinMichaelmas2014andaformalopeningplannedforMarch 2015.Ofthe80.4mestimatedtoberequiredtocompletetheproject,over70misinhandor pledged.

c) HumanitiesandMathsLibrary
PlansforacombinedHumanitiesandMathsLibrarytobeincorporatedintheHumanitiesBuilding ontheRadcliffeObservatoryQuarterprogressedtotheselectionofanarchitect,Bennetts,andthe subsequentattainmentofplanningpermissionin2010.Counciltookadecision,inlightofthe sombreeconomy,toplacetheinitiativeonholdandtorevisitannuallytheintentiontomove forward. Since2010therehavebeenanumberofdevelopmentswhichwillneedtobetakenintoaccountin furtherplanning.Theyarelistedbelow:

MathsBuildingMovesForward
CouncilapprovedtherecommendationtounderwritetheconstructionoftheMathsBuildingonthe ROQ,makingafurthercommitmentfromtheCapitalFund.Plansweremadetoaccommodatethe MathsLibrarywithintheMathsBuilding,albeitwithareducedfootprint,anddiscussionsare ongoingwiththeBodleianaboutthefuturerelationshipoftheMathsLibrarywiththeuniversity libraries.

OxfordTeachingFundEstablished
InJuly2010CouncilestablishedtheOxfordTeachingFundtoprovidematchingfundingforfund raisingeffortstosupportacademicpostsintheHumanitiesandotherdivisions.The60mmatching fundinghadpreviouslybeencommittedtothedevelopmentoftheROQ,andespecially,the HumanitiesBuilding.

HumanitiesRenovationofRadcliffeInfirmaryBuilding
In2011CouncilapprovedplansputforwardbytheHumanitiesDivisiontorenovatetheRadcliffe InfirmaryBuildingontheROQforsupportforgraduates,forspaceforthedivisionaloffices,andfor thePhilosophyandTheologyFaculties,whoselibrarieswouldbemergedandmovedintothe RadcliffeHumanitiesbuilding.Extensiveconsultationwiththeaffectedfacultiestookplaceinthe planningfortheintegratedlibrary.

ChinaCentreLibrary
In2011,attherequestofacademicsrepresentingtheChinaCentre,aworkinggroupofacademics andlibrariansreviewedlibraryprovisionforChineseStudiesandrecommendedthatlibraryand informationsupportbeprovidedviaanewlibraryattheChinaCentre.TheChineseStudiesLibrary wouldbesubsumedintothenewlibrary,andconsequently,itwouldnotbecomepartofthe integratedHumanitiesLibrary.Thisdecisionwastakenfollowingconsultationwiththeaffecteduser baseandwiththefullengagementoftheheadsofdivisionforthehumanitiesandsocialsciences.

TheBlavatnikSchoolofGovernment
TheROQProjectBoardinspring2012tookthedecisiontodeferthedoublebasementacrossthe ROQsiteasanimplementationsteppriortotheconstructionoftheBlavatnikSchoolofGovernment buildingandtoomitLibrarySquareasadefiningfeatureintheplans.Althoughthedouble basementcouldbeintroducedatalaterdate,itwouldbemoreexpensivetocreate,anditwasa tacitacknowledgmentthattheHumanitiesandMathsLibrary,whichreliedonthedoublebasement foritsservicedelivery,wouldattheveryleast,befurtherdelayed.

HistoryFacultyLibrary
WiththeHumanitiesLibraryonindefinitehold,andaseriesofdevelopmentsbothontheROQand withintheHumanitiesDivisionalteringtheoriginalplansforanintegratedHumanitiesLibrary,the Bodleian,consistentwiththedirectiontakenbytheUniversitytorespondtoachanging environment,identifiedtheneedtoconsideralternativeroutesforachievingoneoftheelementsof itsVisionfor2010document,thatofconsolidatingservicestoachieveimprovedaccesstomaterials andservicesinamoreefficientmanner.DuringtheLongVacationof2011theBodleianbeganits initialconsultationontherelocationoftheHistoryFacultyLibrarytotheRadcliffeCamera. Unfortunately,becauseofschedulingproblems,consultationwiththemembersoftheHistory FacultydidnotbeginuntilHilary2012.Savingsfromthereleaseofspace,approximately100,000 annually,willbeallocatedtothepurchaseofbooksandjournalsandtoSundayopeninghours,a highpriorityforOxfordstudents. Theproposalcameinforseverecriticismbecausemostmembersofaffectedfacultiesdidnotlearn aboutituntilHilaryTerm2012andtheconsultationperiodfortheirreviewwasoriginallyverybrief, butitwasquicklyextendedtoseveralweeks.Theproposalwasthesubjectofintenseconsultation withtheprincipalfacultiesaffectedbythepotentialrelocation.Allfacultiessignedoffonthe proposal,andtheCuratorsoftheUniversityLibrariesapprovedtheplanson5March2012.Since thattimesubjectlibrarianshavebeenworkingcloselywiththeCommitteesonLibraryProvision, representativesoftheFaculties,andinterestedindividualstoshapethedetailedplansforthemoves ofcollectionsandotherservices.

TheFutureoftheHumanitiesandMathsLibraryontheROQ
ChangesintheUniversityandintheHumanitiesDivisionhaveaffectedtheplansfortheHumanities andMathsLibrary.AlmosttwoyearsafterOxfordCityCouncilapprovedplanningpermissiononthe HumanitiesBuilding,ajointHumanities/Bodleianworkinggroupwasestablishedtotakestockon wherethecurrentstatusofplansfortheHumanitiesontheROQsiteandtoopenupawide consultationanddiscussionaboutthisinMichaelmasTerm2012andHilaryTerm2013.Thegroup includesProfessorShearerWest,HeadofHumanitiesDivision,DrBryanWardPerkinsandDr SeamusPerryforHumanities,andDrSarahThomas,RichardOvenden,JamesLeggandDrWolfram HorstmannfromtheBodleianLibraries.TheworkinggroupwillliaisecloselywithPaulGoffin,the newHeadofEstates,ProfessorWilliamJames,PVC(PlanningandResources),andProfessorRoger AinsworthasChairofBESC(BuildingandEstatesSubCommitteeofPRAC).Astheplanfor HumanitiesontheROQsitewasdelayedduetoboththeeconomicdownturnandthediversionof availableresourcestotheTeachingFundinordertosupportacademicposts,itisopportuneto considerwhatthefutureplansshouldbe.Opendiscussionsonthecurrentstatuswilltakeplacein thenewacademicyear,andarevisedprogrammewillbedevelopedwhichtakesintoaccount changeswhichhavetakenplaceintheROQenvironmentandinputfromUniversitymembers.This revisedprogrammewillbediscussedinMichaelmas2012andHilary2013.

ChangesintheRadcliffeCamera,theGladstoneLink,andtheOldBodleian
Deliveringthemanychangesofthepastfewyearshasbeenexhilaratingandexhausting,particularly sincetheyhavebeenaccomplishedwhilsttryingtosustainexcellentservice.UsersoftheLibraries havebeenverypatientaboutthesteadystreamofchangesthathaveaffectedtheirwork.Recently, however,therehasbeensometurbulence.Thereareanumberofdifferentstrandsofactivitythat areoccurringsimultaneously,butwhichshouldnotbeconflated. AspartoftheAcademicStrategytoincreasedirectaccess,theGladstoneLinkwascreated.This projectwaspartofalargerEstatesinitiative,theUndergroundBookstore/OldBodleianproject, whichincludedtherefurbishmentofthetunnelconnectingtheOldBodleianandtheUnderground Bookstore(nowGladstone),theinstallationofaliftinthenorthcorneroftheOldBodleian,anew staircaseandplatformliftconnectingtheRadcliffeCameraandtheGladstoneLink,andarelocated, unifiedservicedeskfortheLowerReadingRoomoftheOldBodleian.Thesechangesweredesigned, amongotherthings,toimproveaccesstosomeoftheUniversitysmosticonicbuildingsforthe mobilityimpaired,tolaythegroundworkfortheimprovedutilisationofthevariouscomponentsof thecentralBodleianinanticipationoftheopeningoftheWestonLibrary,andtoorganisethe deliveryofservicesinawaythatwasmoreefficientintermsoftheuseofthespaceandmore helpfulforusers. Becauseofthepressureofallthevariousprojectsunderway,theunifiedservicedeskelementwas delayedfromtheLongVacation2011to2012.Inaddition,theplannedmovementofperiodicals fromtheOldBodleiantotheGladstoneLinkandtheBSFwasalsodelayedayear.Thesechanges hadbeendiscussedwithintheCommitteesonLibraryProvisionandwereknowntotheFaculties fromtheinceptionofplanningin2009andwerereviewedannually.Nonetheless,whenshelves wereemptiedinTrinity2012,thereweremanyuserswhowereunawareoftheplansforthe relocation.Weregretthisunfortunateoccurrence.Itisuseful,therefore,toexplaintherationale forthechanges.Therearethreegoals.First,bycollocatingacriticalmassofperiodicalsinthe GladstoneLink,thespacethereandintheOldBodleiancanbeusedmostefficiently,leadingtoa

highernumberofdirectaccessmaterialsintotal.Inafurtherefforttoincreasedirectaccess shelving,about30%oftitleswhichareloweruseandwhichareavailableonlinehavehadprint versionstransferredtotheBookStorageFacility.Subjectlibrarianshaveworkedwithindividual academicstoreviewlistsoftitlesandhavemadeanumberofexceptionstothoseintendedtobe transferredbasedonneed.Inaddition,alistofalljournaltitlesslatedfortransferandtheir proposeddestinationhasbeenavailableintheOldBodleianatthereservedesksincemidApril,and readershavebeeninvitedtocommentandcontactsubjectlibrarianstodiscussrevisions.Secondly, theshiftingofcollectionsenablestheBodleiantobringtogetherrelatedmaterialwhichhasbeen previouslybeenseparated.Thirdly,theunifiedservicedeskisintendedtofacilitatedeliveryof materialsfromtheBSF,eliminatingtheclatteroftrolleysthroughthereadingroom,tointroduce selfservice,andtoplacetheservicedeskintheUpperReadingRoomclosetotheentrance. Thesechangeshavebeenintheworksforseveralyearsandhavenoconnectiontotheplansto relocatetheHistoryFacultyLibrary.However,thereareotherchangeswhichhavebeenbundled withplanstoadapttheRadcliffeCameraandtheGladstoneLinktoaccommodatetheHFL.Changes directlyattributabletotheHFLmoveincludethecreationofacousticallyseparatedconsultation spaceforreadersandstaff,andstaffworkspaceintheUpperCamera,additionofpowerand wirelessaccessintheGalleryoftheUpperCamera,andthedeclutteringofunusedbaysinthe Cameraandtheirfurnishingtogain48additionalseats.Otherchangesincludetherefinementof theselectionofbooksshelvedintheGladstoneLinktofocusmoreexplicitlyonhighdemand materialsforHumanitiesandtheshiftingofClassics,English,History,andTheologycollectionsto createlogicalsequencesatthesametimeasadditionalbooksinhistoryweremovedfromtheOld IndianInstitute.Thevariouspermutationsofwherecollectionswouldbeshelvedhavebeenthe subjectiveofconstantandintensivediscussionwiththeaffectedFacultiessinceFebruaryand detailedinformationisavailableontheHistoryFacultywebsite. WhilstdevelopingtheplansfortheHFLmove,staffhopedtoaddresssimultaneouslythreeother designissuesthatwouldresultinimprovementsintheRadcliffeCamera.Theyproposedtoprovide accessatgroundlevelthatwouldpermitentryformobilityimpairedindividuals,somethingabout whichtheyhadhadrepeatedrequests.DiscussionswithEnglishHeritageledtoapreferred entrance/exitatthesouthsideoftheCamera,whereagentlewalkwaywouldsuffice,whereason theAllSoulsandBrasenosesidestheshorterareawouldrequirehandrailsandasteeperandmore complexramp. Withtheproposalforanentranceforthedisabledcameanideaforasolutiontoanotherchallenge intheCamera,thatofprovidingsecurityatthepinchpointofthepresentnorthentrance,which coincideswiththecantileveredstaircaseconnectingtheUpperandLowerReadingRoomsofthe RadcliffeCamera.Theporters,perchedonametalplatformaddedabout15yearsago,havetheir handsfulltryingtocontrolvisitorsfromenteringandsearchingbagsupondeparturewhilstreaders transitbetweenUpperandLower.Thesecuritygatescannotbeheardwellfromthisvantage,andin inclementweather,theplacementisveryuncomfortable.Consequently,staffproposedthatthe mainentranceoftheCamerabecometheentranceatgroundlevelontheUniversityChurchside. Thiswouldhaveseveraladvantages,principally,thatthesecuritygateswouldoperatewithgreater effectivenessandthatcirculationonthestaircasewouldbeunimpeded.

Toincreasetheefficiencystillfurther,staffproposedaunifiedservicedesk,similartowhatwas plannedfortheOldBodleian,tobecreatedatthenewentranceoftheCamera. TheseproposalsareopenforconsultationtoMichaelmasTerm2012andmaybeviewedinthe Proscholiumoronlineat http://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/notices/publicconsultationtheold bodleianandradcliffecameraconsultationupdate20120620. TheCuratorsoftheUniversityLibrarieshaveapprovedthesubmissionoftheproposedplansfor ListedBuildingConsentbuthaveonlyapprovedimplementingcertainaspectsoftheproposalswhich areessentialfortheHFLmovetheacousticallyseparatedspaces,thepoweranddata enhancements,andtheadditionalseating.Otherelements,suchastheproposedchangeinaccess andtheunifiedservicedesk,willonlybeconsideredoncetheresultsofconsultationaregathered andassessed.

Lending
TherehasbeensomeconfusionaboutlendingoccasionedbyapaperwhichdescribedtheBodleians currentlyinconsistentpoliciesandpracticesacrossitsvariouslibraries.Ingeneral,whatisimportant todeterminewhetherornotanitemislentisthecategoryofmaterial,ratherthanthebuildingin whichitishoused.AlthoughithasbeencommontohearthattheBodleianLibraryisnotalending library,theBodleianLibrariesareinfactamajorlendinginstitutionwithapproximately1.6m volumesavailableforborrowingandover1.8mloansin2010/2011,mostlyfromFacultyLibraries. Forexample,theSocialScienceLibraryholdsbothcirculatingandreference(ornoncirculating) material.InSeptember,bookscurrentlyavailablethroughtheHistoryFacultyLibraryforborrowing willcontinuetobeabletobeborrowedaccordingtothesamepolicyintheirnewlocations,the RadcliffeCameraandtheGladstoneLink,asintheirformerlocation,theOldIndianInstitute.Books thatarerestrictedfromborrowingwillremainrestricted.Wehadinitiateddiscussionabout reconcilingthedifferentpoliciesacrosslibraries,butwehavedeferredconsiderationofthisuntil 2013.Inthemeantimenochangeswillbemadetothecategoriesofstockwhichareeligibletobe lentorthecategoriesofborrowerstowhombooksmaybelent.

StrategicPlanning
InthepastfewweekstherehavebeencallsfortheBodleiantoprovideupdatedplansforits reorganisationandtopresenttoCongregationshort,medium,andlongtermplansforitsstrategy. Asdescribedabove,muchoftheBodleianseffortshavefocusedonachievingthegoalsofthe AcademicStrategy,aplanwhichwaspreparedwithwidespreadinput,andwithonenotable exception,thatofthecreationoftheHumanitiesandMathsLibrary,hasbeenfollowedwithout deviation.TheneedtoreviewthestatusoftheHumanitiesLibrarybecameapparentasdecisions madeelsewhereintheUniversityhadanimpactontheLibrariesplans,andaworkinggroupand consultationplanwasestablishedinApril2012toaccomplishthisreview,asdescribedinThe FutureoftheHumanitiesandMathsLibraryintheROQsectionofthispaper. TheLibrarieslongerrangestrategyhasbeenupdatedfrequentlysince2005,reflectingtherapidly changingenvironmentoftheInternetAge.TheVisionfor2010,datingfrom2005/2006morphed intotheVisionfor2011inlate2006,andsubsequentlyOULS(nowknownastheBodleianLibraries) issuedaStrategicPlan2009/20102014/2015 (http://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0017/48410/Bodleianlibrariesstrategic

planv26.pdf)in2009whichitupdatedin2011,takingintoaccountfurtherchangesthathad occurred,notablyprogressontheAcademicStrategy.During2011/2012,theBodleian,theCurators, andrepresentativesfromtheDivisionshavebeenengagedinscenarioplanningasaprecursorto strategicplanningthatwillaligntheBodleiansplanswiththeUniversitysStrategicPlanfor2013to 2017,aneffortthatisnowunderway.Theplanshavebeendevelopedinconsultationwithstaffand readersintheframeworkoftheLibrariesapprovedgovernancestructures.However,recent commentsmakeitclearthatthereisheightenedinterestintheLibrariesplans,andconsequently boththeCuratorsoftheUniversityLibrariesandtheBodleianintendtoincreaseopportunitiesfor widerconsultationandinputbyreaders,includingacademics,Universityresearchers,students,and staff,aswellasexternalusers.OpportunitiesforcontributingtotheplansfortheBodleianwillbe numerous.AtpresentweareplanningtownmeetingsinMichaelmasandHilaryTerms,aswellas theuseoftheLibQual+surveyinstrument,andthecontinuationofthemeetingswithFaculties, Departments,DivisionalBoards,CommitteesonLibraryProvision,andtheCuratorsoftheUniversity Libraries.Inthefuture,therewillbeatermlynewslettertoupdatereadersonwhatishappening andtoinvitefeedback.Inaddition,BodleianLibrariesstaffwelcomedirectinteractionontopics suchasthosediscussedaboveandindeed,onotherissuesthatyouwishtoraise.Itishopedthat thesemeasureswillenabletheBodleiantoprovideoutstandingservicethatisalignedwiththegoals andrequirementsofitscommunityofreaders.
