11e Regiment de Dragons.


Created by Royal Commision on the 8 December 1674, in 1788 they were entitled Angouleme after the Duke de Angouleme. In 1791 they became the 11e Regiment de Dragons. Formed in Maestricht in 1675; in 1774 they took the name of the Comte d'Artois and in 1791 became the 12e Regiment de Dragons. 13e Regiment de Dragons


Formed by levy at Languedoc on the 4 October 1676, in 1724 they were entitled the CondeDragons. The year 1774 saw the title change to Comte-de-Provence and later the same year it changed to Monsieur. In 1791, it finally became the 13e Regiment de Dragons.

14e Regiment de Dragons


Formed on 3 March 1672 by the Marquis de Seyssac, the regiment's name in 1758 was Chartres changing in 1776 to Chartres-Dragons and finally becoming the 14e Regiment de Dragons in 1791. Created on the 20 December 1688 by the Duke de Noailles; in 1791 it became the 15e Regiment de Dragons. 16e Regiment de Dragons

Created in 1718 and was affiliated with the house of Orleans. In 1791 the regiment became the 16e Regiment de Dragons. 17e Regiment de Dragons


Created in 1743 from a mixed formation of Germans and Poles and named Volontaires de Saxe. In 1762 they became the Schonberg-Dragons and in 1791 the 17e Regiment de Dragons. Formed in Metz on 4 April 1744 from existing dragoon regiments, 1791 saw the regiment become the 18e Regiment de Dragons.
