PROJECT STORIES FOR POLIO ERADICATION

Our organisation Sri Niroti Lal Budhha Sansthan (SNBS) is working for the welfare of the neglected section of the community for more than 19 yrs.As we aware that Polio hits that section very badly so SNBS get involved in the process of Polio eradication.We support the program through community mobilisation. As part of creating a mass awareness on the need for eradication of Poliomyelitis, a crippling disease of childhood caused by polio virus, Shri Niroti Lal Bubbha Sansthan (SNBS) engaged itself in supporting the Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare (DMHFW), Agra in order to provide better service delivery and expand the coverage of polio vaccination in Agra. SNBS feels that Polio is not only a disease but also a stigma.It makes the victim a physical as well as mentaly handicap so its eradication will makes our country proud.
We are involved in polio eradication program since 1997.Details of the event is as below :-

2006-2011
SNBS has been involved in administering the oral drops to children under the age of five, under National Polio Surveillance Program (NPSP), for over 10 years, from 1997-98 to 2006-07. Pulse Polio Campaign: SNBS has been engaged in organizing Pulse Polio Booths and Pulse Polio & Health Awareness campaigns in 18 urban slums of Agra city through its 54 workers and 4 field supervisors for the period of 1997-98 to 2006-07.

We have actively participated in 7 pulse polio rally organized by Medical Health and Family Welfare deptt. Agra from Lady Loyal to Subhash Park. The team of 350 people in the dynamic leadership of Mr. Ravi Kashyap, President SNBS.

We have actively participated in pulse polio rally organized by Medical Health and Family Welfare deptt. Agra from Lady Loyal to Subhash Park on on February,22,2013,January,01,2013,September, 08, 2012, June, 15, 2012.

Polio booth Coverage

Organizing 4 pulse polio transit booth in Kailas Mela on July, 23, 2012.We have organized 4 pulse polio transit booth in Kailas Fair,Sikandra,Agra with the support of Distt.Health and Family Welfare.We have identified the places for polio booths in the fare.The places were Sikandra Monument, Police Station, Sikandra and Sikandra Crossing from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm.
