Integrated skills : Reading Content standard: By the end of the 6- year primary schooling, pupils will be able to:1.1 Pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation. 1.2 Listen and respond appropriately in formal and informal situations for variety of purposes. 1.3 Understand and respond to oral texts in a variety of contexts . Learning standard: 1.1.3 Able to listen to say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance. 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance 1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding to oral text by: b) answering simple Wh-Questions. 2.1.4 Able to segment word into phoneme to spell 2.2.4 Able to read a paragraph of 3-5 words simple sentences.
Previous knowledge: Pupils have learnt types of transportation Pupils have learnt to sing songs. Learning objectives: By the end of lesson, pupils should be able to: 1) Educational Emphases: thinking skills: critical and creative (CCTS) Multiple intelligences: interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical and visual Teaching aids: LCD, Laptop, video of transportation, transportation flash cards, song video entitled Thomas and His friend.

CCTS: predicting -song video of Set Induction (5 minutes) Thomas and His friends. (appendix 1) -Wh-Question : a. what is the transport that you saw from the video? b. how do you get to the school? c. what we will learn today? Teacher shows a song video entitled Thomas and his friend to the pupils. Teacher asks pupils what type of transport that they saw from the video. Teacher asks pupils how they get to the school. Pupils answer the question given with teacher guidance. MI : interpersonal activity.
