INTRODUCTION Aeroshell is the most important mark of aircraft lubricants especially in oil for piston engines; this oil is used like lubricant in the engines and also helps to the cooled system, the number gives us grate viscosity for example oil 65, 80, 100, 120, but the most common is the oil 100 when I was in my estancia I worked in the over haul of the engines I worked with continental and Lycoming engines 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders, the main function of oil is to lubricate and cool the parts that are exposed to friction forces because failure to do this would merge, an example is an engine that came to the workshop , the lubrication veins was obstructed what prevented the passage of oil to crankshaft and connection rod, these being in contact at high temperatures melted and the engine "amarro" when this happens the engine dont have composure and became in trash.
MAIN FUNCTIONS

Reduce friction between the metal parts in relative motion. This function is achieved by interposing a film of oil. So. the friction between layers of oil performs better than between metal surfaces. Refrigeration since the oil is in contact with hot engine metal areas. Protection of metal surfaces against corrosion, being coated with a thin film of oil.

PROPERTIES:

ADVENTAJES AND DESVENTAJES: ADVENTAJES: 1. The principal advantage is the duration this kind of lubricant works for much time 2. Is used for lubricant and also helps to cold the parts of engine 3. Is no only used for lubrication of the engine also is used for lubrication of many parts of the aircraft 4. Are more refined automobile oils DESVENTAJES: 1. Actually the big part of engines are turbines , this kind of engines dont needs this kind of oil. 2. Is expensive 3. Is only used in small aircraft 4. This kind of lubricants are pollutant

FUNTIONAMIENT: The oil is empty in the crankcase which is the deposit that contain an engine grease before completely performing a test called "Purga", the crankcase is filled with oil and this will start pumping from all engine, allowed for a few hours and the oil is extracted. in the crankcase which is the deposit that contain an engine grease before completely performing a test called "Purge", the crankcase is filled with oil and this will start pumping from all engine, allowed for a few hours and the oil is extracted. This lubricant is used in aircrafts that have piston engine in especially Cessna and piper aircraft the small aircraft.

The operation is a cycle: in the crankcase there is a part called pichancha this is the part that absorb the oil and distribute it all the engine using the oil pump, the oil passes suctioned lubrication veins lubricating the crankshaft, connecting rods camshaft and, from there through to the cylinders, with pistons rings are cooled lubrication and lubricated, hence passes to the radiator where it is cooled and returned to the carter, and so on. This is the basically and principal operation in the engine. The oil lubricates also many parts and devices of the aircraft but the principal part is the engine, another principal part lubricated is the landing gear but this used another kind of oil.
