Dear Shen Yun Performing Arts, Welcome again to New York City. As a member of the NYC Council and as one who sits on the Cultural Affairs Committee, I am pleased to have your unique, classical Chinese dance and music company perform at one of our City's greatest venues, The David H Koch Theatre at Lincoln Center.
Shen Yun's demonskable mastery of movement, music and mind is a marvel to behold.
In reviving the essence of traditional Chinese culture based on the ideals of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance, and by reaching back into the five, rich millennia of Chinese history, its classical legends, and the various ethnic traditions in both music and dance, your company brings universal human themes to an exquisite, artistic level.
Thank you for gracing our City with such a beautiful and inspiring theatrical experienee and offering us a glimpse of the eternal through the arts.
