Configuration librarian A configuration librarian is the owner of the configuration library and manager of all master copies of configuration

items (CIs) and sets up and maintains the configuration library system in line with this procedure and in particular. In the same time he or she is the custodian of all master copies of the project's products. So he or she is the one, for the operation of the configuration management system education of staff in its use as well as for the production of reports as required by project organizations. Configurations librarian is a super user for the accounts in a multi customer environment and creates any documentation required in order to support and maintain the configuration library Responsibilities There are number of responsibilities associated with a configuration librarians as follows, Identification of variants of configuration items accurately.

The items that are needs to configure, needs to identify correctly. So it is really important to identify the configuration items accurately. This will helpful to keep needed configuration information correctly.

Handle, retrieval of configuration items

As the owner of the configuration library and manager , configuration manager needs to manage and handle all master copies of configuration items (CIs).As well as configuration librarian is responsible to retrieve relevant data when needs

Assist in the identification of products
