Cathy Cooper, Membership Director Membership The benefit of a Y membership is much more than a great workout. The Y can help you build stronger relationships, provide opportunities for community participation, and teach you new skills. Your Y membership will help you enhance your mind, body, and spirit. The Bloomsburg Area YMCA wants its benefits to be accessible to everyone regardless of age, background, ability, or income. Our Financial Assistance Program is available to those who qualify. Financial assistance forms may be picked up at our front desk. YMCA Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Member Benefits Your membership includes a facility full of caring staff, aerobics/fitness classes, childwatch while you work out, open gym, priority registration for all classes/programs, and member discounts. Corporate Memberships its a proven fact that a healthy workforce is a more productive workforce. Participation in the YMCA Corporate Program works wonders, giving your employees increased energy, reduced stress, and a more positive outlook on their jobs! YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Childwatch
Allison DiParlo, Childcare Director Our YMCA has a pleasant environment for your children ages 3 months to 12 years old in our childwatch program. While you work out, your children are cared for by our qualified YMCA staff. Childwatch hours : Monday: 8:30-11:00am & 4:15pm -7:45pm Tuesday: 4:15pm -6:30pm Wednesday: 8:30-11:00am & 4:15pm -6:30pm Thursday: 4:15pm -7:45pm Friday: 8:30-11:00am Saturday: 8:45am-10:30am
4 - 5 year olds offer two options: two halfdays per week, or three half-days per week. Both classes emphasize pre-kindergarten activities. Readiness, language development, social skills, pre-reading and printing, motor skills, and work habits are all taught in a positive environment with emphasis on individual abilities
Child care is available Monday through Friday, before and after school. We also provide all-day care for scheduled, non-weather related school closings. We have three locations to serve your needs. Bloomsburg Memorial Elementary W.W. Evans Elementary Central Columbia Elementary

The Bloomsburg Y is proud to offer our 10 week Math and Literacy enrichment programs for grades Pre K 8. Our tutoring sessions are run by Bloomsburg Universitys Elem entary and Mid-level Education Majors. We offer two options for your childs educational needs. Wednesday Tutoring September 18 th December 4 th 3:45pm-4:45pm During Wednesday Tutoring sessions we will help with homework, play educational games, and other activities that are age appropriate. Member $30 Non-Member $45 Saturday Morning Mind & Body September 21 st December 7 th 9:30am-11:30am Mind & Body offers one hour of math and literacy tutoring followed by an hour of fun physical activity. Youth Volleyball
This co-ed volleyball league located in the Bloomsburg Y gym and is for teens ages 1217. All participants are required to wear sneakers and knee pads. Mondays & Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm Member $30 Non-Member $75

Mommy and Me
Mommy & Me Gymnastics (Walking-Age 3) Certified teachers assist parent/guardians in the how-to of exploring movement activities that include rolling, swinging, hand apparatus, music and motor skills. Basic socialization skills like sharing, taking turns and following instructions are gently introduced. Physical developmental skills suggested by USA Gymnastics are followed. TumbleBug Gymnastics (Age 3) Small class size allows children to learn at their own pace under the direct supervision of an experienced instructor. This Year is BAYs 25 th Season!!! Come join all the the fun, excitement, and friendships that our BAY swim team has to offer. Our coaches are dedicated to teaching our youth the fundamentals of swimming. We also offer scholarships and financial aid. There are no prior requirements or skills needed to join the team; however, we do ask each swimmer to come with the ability to swim 25 yards in the pool unassisted. The season begins in October and ends in March. BAY recently joined the Pen Del League, Monroe County Division. We have five league meets and multiple invitational meets. Our season kicks off with the BAY Invitational, Hallowswim . All swimmers must be members of the YMCA. 1, 2, 3 Fit
1,2,3 Fit is a personal training program available to all new members. This program will provide the jump start needed to get into a regular exercise routine. You will meet with one of our certified trainers for 3 half hour sessions and they will develop a program specific to your need! Member $25
Healthy Living
Silver Sneakers- Muscular Strength & Range of Movement Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/for standing support. Classes meet Tuesday & Thursday 9:30am 1:30pm
Silver Sneakers II- Cardio Circuit Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball is alternated with nonimpact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises. Classes meet Tuesday & Thursday 8:30am
Walk for Wellness - 45 minute class for active older individuals seeking cardiovascular endurance through walking both indoors and out! The program will incorporate weights for a more challenging experience if desired.
