MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER Chronological Bible Reading: Genesis 49-50; Matthew 13:1-29 Monday, January 20 2 Sam. 5:24-25 And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines. And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer. Master and Commander: I have heard the sound of a going in the mulberry trees. Have I stirred myself like you stirred those leaves? Have I served you by every means necessary to the winning of others from Hell? Have I responded to our spiritual momentum? Alas, my Lord! I have sown so much seed that died for lack of watering. Some of my witnessing loses force for lack of solid follow-up. Give me an eye to look for the favorable times and seasons to talk. When I sense the power of the Spirit in the midst of a conversation, teach me how to follow that up. I think of __________, who is anxious about their marriage. Now is the time for a good word from me. I think of __________, who is worried about a child. Now is my best opportunity to speak. I believe __________ is open to conviction. Teach me how to do what I can in your eternal purpose. Salvation is of you Lord, from first to last. But it is my responsibility to be used as the means to bring people the gospel, just as if it were in my own power to save them. The rustling may be very faint, yet it is my time and my opportunity. Make me more earnest about seeking to witness when you make me notice your Spirits movement in someones life. Give me a soul-consciousness! I have a special power in prayer. I can take the promises and make them applied. Give me freedom and liberty to witness. Above all, give me more closeness of communion with Christ, so when I hear the sound, I will stir. I seek your help O God, in Jesus name and by faith in Him alone. Amen. A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING Chronological Bible Reading: Exodus 7-9; Matthew 15:1-20 Thursday, January 23 Eph. 3:17-18 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS LIFE Chronological Bible Reading: Exodus 1-3; Matthew 13:30-58 Tuesday, January 21 John 7:12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said , He is a good man: others said , Nay; but he deceiveth the people. Merciful Father: There are religious zealots who beat themselves until they bleed because they believe suffering is redemptive and you reward them for it. But no sufferings of mine can have anything to do with the atonement for sin. No blood but that which Jesus spilt, no groans but those that came from Jesus heart, no suffering but that which was endured by you, Lord Jesus, can ever make a payment for sin. God will not pity because I have endured affliction. I must consider Jesus, and not myself. I must trust in your blood alone and not in my own merits. Father, you saw Christ, hanging in the sinners place, and did not spare him. What happens then when you find the sinner without and outside Christ? You will not spare them. Just as Jesus was led away by his enemies, so they will be led away by the Devils fiends to the place appointed to those who reject Jesus. Matt. 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: You not only show us your cross, but the terrible results of rejecting it. You were only a sinner by imputation (by attribution, not by actual reality), and yet you were deserted of God. How much more shall the actual sinner be forsaken? Prov. 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; The whole universe shall hiss at the lost. Angels will be ashamed of them. Their own saved friends and relatives will say Amen to their just condemnation. Oh Father, do not let them die so! By the agonies of Christ, by his wounds and his blood, do not let them bring on themselves this curse. Help them by your Spiritand by my witnessto trust in the Son of God! Amen. FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY Chronological Bible Reading: Exodus 10-12; Matthew 15:21-39 Friday, January 24 Matt. 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Father in Heaven: For our children, physical and spiritual we pray: fill their hearts with your love. Give them grace and mercy without measure as they relate to others in this life. Give us a corps of teachers! They need models, mentors, and parenting relationships with others in their family and at our church. Help them develop respect in their communication so a strong, godly testimony is maintained. Psa. 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Father, teach us to solve misunderstandings according to your word. Drive out the wedge of division Satan tries to insert between us. Eph. 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Lord, take away any jealousies, suspicions and pride from our homes and from our church. Forgive us where we fail and draw us forward in faith. Prov. 22:24-25 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. Lord, we lift up our children to you. Bring godly role models into their lives. Give them the pictures of wisdom that will enable them to have an example of wisdom and a replica of righteousness to follow in choosing friends who will draw them closer to you. Take anyone who is not a godly influence out of their lives, or else transform that person into your likeness. Prov. 4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Deliver us from people who would teach us wicked ways. Show us the meaning of true friendship that glorifies you. Holy Spirit, pierce our heart with an understanding of Jesus own closeness to us. Do it for his sake today. Amen. WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING Chronological Bible Reading: Exodus 4-6; Matthew 14 Wednesday, January 22 Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. Your Love, O LORD: Is like a rock of mercy. It rises to us out of a sea of wrath. I want to pray this promise and claim it. I believe you are about to revive us again! I believe your side was dug-out with that Roman spear, so the deep mines of graces wealth can be emptied for me. Sometimes I feel so dead, I think my life is just a spiritual death. I am merely existing and not flourishing, like I should. Redeem me from death, my Master, by revival. My flesh is full of sin, but the fullness of your Spirit can drive it out. And I know that he will if I ask, because the ransom has already been paid. Regeneration has liberated my soul; now make revival do the like in my life. Psa. 119:25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. Sometimes I feel like I am in the hand of the grave, as it were. But you have pledged to redeem me from that power. Assert yourself again: I will ransomI will redeem O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction. Who but you, my Creator, can do that? Reviving me is not impossible, or even difficult for you. So alter my life with your life, I pray. Alter my nature with your Spirit. Make Satan be plagued by seeing my revival! You said, Repentance shall be hid from [your] eyes. And there you have stated your unalterable will. You will not repent of promising me revival. You will not change your mind about giving it if I ask for it. That, for certain, is an immutable decree and your sovereign will. Thank you Father, for revealing this to my faith. Now make it real in my experience, for Jesus sake! Amen. SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS Chronological Bible Reading: Exodus 13-15; Matthew 16 Saturday, January 25 Psa. 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations. Gracious and Mighty Father: Asaph saw bribery and corruption all around him. In prayer he was active, not passive. Help me see how I am praising you when I rebuke sin that dishonors you. Because when I am not making music I should be silencing discord. You are the great Overseer. You see all that is done by every world leader. When they sit in state, you stand over them. Correct them if they pervert justice. Even judges will be judged. A higher authority will criticize the worlds congresses and parliaments. That is why Lord, my final court of appeal is to you in prayer! Come, Judge of all. Bring bad judges to your bar and end their corruption and their prejudice. That is the worlds only true hope of rescue from the fangs of tyranny. Your Second Coming is still this earths brightest anticipation. Psa. 83:1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. We have serious dangers from confederate terrorist organizations, but our soul in faith rests on you. You are the El, the Mighty God. Act because we suffer. Speak because we are in jeopardy. I ask not for a leader bold and brave, but for you. I cast my burden and stress upon you. Psa. 83:2-3 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. Here is a good reason for intercession. My enemies are usually boastful and proud. Their malice is cold-blooded and they plot with deliberation. They are never wise, but often crafty. Hide me away from all harm. Give me the quietness and tranquility of your grace. I ask it for Jesus sake and testimony. Amen.

NOTHING between my soul and my Savior,

Naught of this worlds delusive dream; I have renounced all sinful pleasure; Jesus is mine, theres nothing between. Nothing between, like worldly pleasure; Habits of life, though harmless they seem, Must not my heart from Him ever sever; He is my all, theres nothing between. Nothing between, like pride or station; Self or friends shall not intervene; Though it may cost me much tribulation, I am resolved, theres nothing between. Nothing between my soul and my Savior, So that His blessed face may be seen; Nothing preventing the least of His favor; Keep the way clear! Let nothing between.

PRAYER DIARY

1)

TIMEWORSHIP Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

" INTERCEDE WITH GOD " INSTRUCT SAINTS " PROMPT PETITIONS " KICKSTART DEVOTION

GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily devotions. 2) TITHEWORK 1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our resources. 3) TEAMWORD Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the same things over and over. This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you through the Bible chronologically in a year. Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying. Alan

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had prayed. Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition. God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son. Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
