From personal messages and pictures on Gmail or Facebook, to more professional offerings from Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Online Services, cloud computing makes it possible to run a successful business without having dedicated hardware, software, and services. The result is that organizations can reduce costs and be more flexible, more mobile, and scalable while improving their quality of service.

Virtually every organization is now exploring their potential for cloud computing, searching for a higher agility, scalability and new business opportunities. Successfully adopting the cloud starts with foundation-level knowledge of the possibilities, potential benefits, and understanding of basic roadmaps to implementation. Cloud Certification Program The Cloud Certification Program is a vendor-neutral foundation level certification program for cloud computing. Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for certification. It is, however, recommended that the candidate completes an accredited training course from a certified training partner. The Cloud Essentials course is typically a 2-day, interactive, classroom-based learning experience that addresses the business and technical perspectives of cloud computing, and explains how to adopt, operate, and govern the cloud. The course prepares each participant to successfully become a CompTIA Cloud EssentialsTM Certified Professional. The course includes an Exam Preparation module, preparing participants to complete the CompTIA Cloud Essentials Exam on the second day of the course. The exam consists of 50 questions, the passing score is 720 (on a scale of 900), and is web-based in the English language.
