Foreign Funded Scholarship Programs Omanian Government Scholarships in the Institutes of Higher Education under Omani Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Program for the Session 2011-2012
Under the Sponsorship of Government of Oman, scholarships are being offered for Bachelor Studies in the Institutes of Higher Education under the Omani Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Program for the Session 2011-2012. Applications are to be routed through Higher Education Commission (HEC). The details are as under: Field of Study and Required Educational Qualification are as under:

Courses Offered Under Various Institutes / Colleges:

1: Institute of Religious Studies Sr# i. Field of Study (a) Jurisprudence & its Principles (b) Technology (c) Jurisprudence and Advocacy 2: College of Higher Technology Sr# i. ii. iii. iv. Field of Study Engineering Information Technology Applied Sciences Business Studies Required Educational Qualification Intermediate (Math, Physics, Chemistry) or its equivalent qualification with at least 80% marks Intermediate (Math, Physics, English) or its Equivalent qualification with at least 80% marks Intermediate (Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or its equivalent qualification with at least 80% marks Intermediate (Math or Applied Math, English, History or Geography) or its equivalent qualification with at least 75% marks Required Educational Qualification Intermediate (HSSC/HSC) or its equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks

3: College of Applied Sciences Sr# i. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. Field of Study Engineering Required Educational Qualification Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. Financial Benefits:
The government of Oman will bear following expenses: Student will be given Omani Riyal. 200 (equal to US $. 518/-) per month for the expense of his/her accommodation, transport and food. A return ticket will be given to the student once a year Free Medical treatment in Government Hospitals (excluding accident cases). Other Related Information: The time period of study is Five (05) years including one preparatory year. Boarding is available for female student only in the college of Ibri, Al Rustaq and Sur. Under the Rules, maximum time period of one year will be provided to the accepted student to improve their English language skill (achieve 4.5 score in IELTS). If the student fails to achieve the required level of English language skill he/she will be given second chance for another year on self finance basis, and in case of failure in the second attempt the student will be barred from college. Medical Sciences are not included in the offered programs.

Application Procedure
Applicants are required to: 1. Download and properly fill (Using Capital Block Letters) the Oman Application Form ( click to Download). 2. Download and properly fill (Using Capital Block Letters) the HEC Application form ( click to Download) 3. Attach Following documents with each application form, mentioned above: a. IBCC, Islamabad Attested copies of Matric and Intermediate (SSC, HSSC / HSC / Diploma) certificate. b. Medical Certificate from any Authorized medical practitioner / Govt. Hospital. c. Birth Certificate. d. Character Certificate. e. Copies of Passport. f. Four (04) photographs with Oman Application Form & One (01) with HEC Application Form.

Application package along with all the documents mentioned above should reach to the address mentioned below before 15-07-2011. Applications received after this date will not be entertained and rejected:
