At the evening of the first conference day the SAMS Europe Award 2013 ceremony took place. The award was given to outstanding SAM and SLM projects and innovations from companies from around the world.

The winners were Deutsche Post DHL and its project Group Wide License Management, HCL Technologies with the implementation of Software Asset Management across HCL and Century Link and the application CenturyLink Qwest Merger.

Carsten Drewsen led a Challenge Your Peers Session regarding SAM and SLM Strategies & Processes. During his keynote presentation he focused on the new approaches for new challenges Licence Management in a Mobile Enterprise Environment. CASE STUDY & AUDIT DEBATE MONIKA RYGLEWSKA, OMV SOLUTIONS GMBH The main topic of Monika Ryglewskas case study was the multinational license management: Transformation from risk to value. Next to Meyer, Sokoll and Scholl, she was also a moderator during the audit debate session.

WORLD CAF & AUDIT DEBATE FLORIAN FALK SOKOLL, UNICREDIT BUSINESS INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS AUSTRIA GMBH Florian Falk Sokoll was also one of the moderators at the audit debate, who pointed his statement out. He discussed in his World Caf ways and methods for an effective SAM and SLM for open source and used software.
