Work

Youth Vote Philippines is involved in several education campaigns geared towards the young Filipino voter. Using the different resources from the different partners of the alliance, the group has organized education caravans and campaigns in various key cities in the Philippines: Cebu; Davao; Baguio and Manila. The key tool utilized by the group is the use of its website to disseminate information on the stand of the different presidential candidates on eight key issues. This makes it easy for the young voting public to access and find out what a candidate is about, and therefore make an informed decision about who to vote for. The intention of Youth Vote Philippines is to have an educated voting population so that the Philippine Elections can be truly representative of the wants of the people. It is hoped that with the start of the organization in getting young people involved in the electoral process through proper education, then the country can have the best and most qualified elected leaders to bring it into the next decade. If successful, Youth Vote Philippines will again be actively involved in voter education for all the succeeding Philippine elections.
