com December 1st-3rd: Aspects to Uranus from the Sun, Mercury, and Mars dominate this period. The Sun trine Uranus brings cool and fair weather. The ses-square from Mercury to Uranus is a bit more unsettling, and the parallel from Mars to Uranus is known for windy conditions. The key charts place these aspects over central and eastern Qld. These charts are the Solar Ingress, New Moon, and the current Lunar and Solar Eclipses. An older eclipse (July 12, 2010) is triggered by the conjunction of Jupiter. This sets up Mars parallel Uranus on the Midheaven of central Qld. The Suns trine to Uranus brings high pressure but these other aspects show windy conditions. December 4th-6th: From the 2nd of December through the 5th, the Moon is transiting the South Tropic. In other words, the Moon is at its furthest southern declination. While it does this, it makes a prolonged parallel to Mercury that lasts this whole time. By the 5th, the Moon, as seen from the Solar Ingress, then conjoins Pluto on the IC over eastern Qld and then conjoins the Brisbane Ic. By the 7th, Mercury is parallel Pluto. Now, while the Moon doesnt actually make it far enough south to also parallel Pluto, I think the Moon might somehow trigger the Mercury-Pluto parallel because it comes to less than a degree away from the parallel of Pluto. This seems to be an important planetary set up because these otherwise quick aspects of the Moon to Mercury and possibly Pluto are now drawn out for a longer time giving them more power. Mercury is associated with high pressure and colder or cooler air masses. Pluto is a bit more mysterious, but Ive always associated it for the most part with cool and cold conditions. So Im thinking that is what we should see during this period. If enough moisture is available, sometimes these cold air masses can trigger precipitation. December 7th-9th: The aspects now are Mercury parallel Pluto, Mercury square Neptune, and Mercury ses-square Jupiter. Some of the key charts, such as the Solar Ingress and the current Lunar and Solar Eclipse charts, place Pluto and Jupiter over the forecast area. Mercury shows up angular in the Last Quarter chart. The Lunar aspects of Moon square Saturn on the 7th, Moon conjunct Neptune on the 8th, and Moon square Mercury on the 9th all happen over the forecast area. So besides the cooler conditions shown by Mercury parallel Pluto, these other aspects may give us the chance of some precipitation. December 10th-12th: Some of the main activity now for Brisbane takes place in the Full Moon chart. The transit Sun passes over the Brisbane Ic as it parallels Venus. This is known to increase temperatures and

moisture. The Sun will also square the radical position of Mars in the Full Moon chart. This is a disruptive influence that can increase heat and bring storm conditions. By the 12th the transit Moon in the Solar Ingress chart opposes the ascendant focusing the weather pattern over Brisbane. Further west over central Qld, the Solar Ingress chart shows the Mercury trine Uranus aspect of the 11th affecting central Qld where Uranus is on the descendant. This aspect brings high pressure. The First Quarter Moon, which is the current lunation, brings the same set up. December 13th-15th: The main aspect now is Jupiters trine to Saturn. The New Moon chart has Saturn on the Mc over eastern Qld. This is a high pressure aspect. My guess is that this aspect will have a stronger influence than the quincunx Mars makes to Neptune, and the semi-square Mars makes to Saturn. Mars is on the ascendant in the First Quarter chart which is the current lunation. Mars and Neptune would increase temperatures and humidity, and Mars-Saturn would trigger some storminess. Im thinking that the Jupiter-Saturn trine will carry the day and suppress the other aspects, but we can say that there might at least be a chance for the Mars aspects to eventuate. December 16th-21st: The Sun is parallel Mercury on the 16th, and Mercury will quincunx Jupiter on the 17th. The Sun and Mercury tend toward high pressure and sometimes windy conditions. The quincunx between Mercury and Jupiter is benign bringing fair conditions. We find Mercury on the IC over eastern Qld as it makes these aspects. The next major e vent is the direct station of Uranus on the 18th as well as Jupiters semi-square to Neptune. I like to give 4 days or so for these stations of different planets to kick in. Uranus in this sense signifies a lower range of temperatures and windy conditions. The Solar Ingress places Uranus descendant over western Qld. On the day of its station, the Moon squares Uranus and by the 19th conjoins the Brisbane Mc. This should bring the aforementioned weather over the Brisbane area. I would also allow a few days after this as a window when the influence of Uranus will continue. December 22nd-24th: Venus is parallel Pluto on the 22nd and also makes its retrograde station. The chart for Venus Rx station places Venus on the ascendant through western and central Qld. The stations of Venus increase temperatures and humidity with a chance of downfall followed by cooler temperatures afterwards. For now I consider Pluto to have a cooling effect. In either case Venus still represents moisture so we should precipitation followed by cooling afterwards. December 25th-27th: During this period, the Sun and Mercury will sextile Neptune (25th-26th) and semi-square Saturn (26th-27th). Mars will also oppose Uranus on the 25th. I think the key chart for these aspects of the Sun and Mercury is the Last Quarter Moon. At the time of this lunation, the Sun is exactly over Brisbane as it makes its semi-square to Saturn. Mercury then follow suit. This should bring stormy conditions to the forecast area.

The Mars-Uranus opposition happens just before this lunation, but the Moon moves in and conjoins and opposes Mars-Uranus on the 26th triggering them as they straddle the Asc/Dsc of the Last Quarter chart over Brisbane. This argues stronger storms than those promised by the semi-squares of the Sun and Mercury to Saturn. Unrelated to the forecast area, the Mars-Uranus opposition chart might be worth keeping an eye on for at the time of opposition a number of interesting parans, or crossings, take place. The Mars Ic/Uranus Mc falls along 145 east longitude through central Qld. Mercury Dsc and the Sun DSC cross the Mars-Uranus Mc/Ic line in the Coral Sea at 145 east/14 south, and 145 east/9 south. This may be an area worth watching at this time. December 29th-31st: This last period is an active one with the Suns conjunction to Mercury and square to Uranus, Mercurys square to Uranus and its conjunction to Pluto, and the square of Mars to Pluto. In the current lunation (Last Quarter) all of these aspects take place offshore with a lot of crossings in the South Pacific Ocean between Australia and the Solomon Islands. This may be related to the previous Mars-Uranus comment above. As far as the forecast area goes, the Full Moon, First Quarter, and current Lunar Eclipse charts place the Sun-Mercury conjunction over Brisbane. This aspect usually coincides with high pressure or increased winds. The same maps show the Sun and Mercury over Brisbane when they square Uranus, and in the Solar Ingress chart the Moon is conjoining the ascendant. This brings the windy and stormy conditions shown by Sun-Mercury-Uranus from central and eastern Qld over Brisbane.
