Tid Bits of Wisdom

From the Wonderful Word Publishers

JANUARY 2014 VOL. 8 NO.1

Have you heard Gods call? Have you ever heard, seen or read the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? Then you have heard Gods call. God calls us by His grace and He calls us through His gospel and by His worthy name (Gal. 1:15; 11 Thess. 2:13-14; James 2:7). The verses I love are in Revelations.
Rev 22:16-17 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst Come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

CALLING ALL SINNERS!!!

By taking the gospel to the world, we are taking the call of God. We are delivering His invitation to the promise of Eternal Life. There are many callings and many gifts from God, but the greatest calling is the call to Eternal Life. God placed me into the ministry before He made His call for me to preach and pastor clear to me. I am thankful for the call God has given me for ministry, but the call of salvation was the call that brought life to me. What does Gods call mean to us who have responded to that call with repentant hearts and have called upon His name in faith, believing that He is life and without Him there is no life? We are called to be SAINTS. What does it mean to be a saint? A saint is sacred, consecrated, physically, pure, morally blameless or religious. That is who we are in the eyes of God. Forgiven and cleaned up! What more could we ask for? Gods call places us in a new kingdom! We are placed in the Kingdom of God and our passport shows us being from another country. When we receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we leave our old home land and we answer to another government, a righteous government, whose King is King of all Kings. We are placed into a Royal Kingdom and we are sons of God, not just citizens!

Calling All Sinners

Not only does our calling place us in a new kingdom, but it gives us a new vocation (Eph. 4:4). We now become Ambassadors, reconciling men and women to God through the gospel.
2 Cor 5:17-21 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christs stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

(Continued from page one)

in Christ we will dry up and be like a dead branch. We will be good for nothing. The world will use us for fire wood, so they can keep warm. BUT, if we abide in Christ and He in us, we can ask what we want and it will be done. This is the unrestricted prayer line! Our calling called us from darkness into His marvellous light (1 Pet. 2:9). It is a shame for us to walk in darkness when we have been given the light. If you are stumbling in the dark you have returned to the hog pen. Like the prodigal, you need to return home. This calling is not always an easy calling. We are also called to suffer as He suffered for us (1 Pet.2:1925). Most of our suffering is due to our wickedness, but our calling to suffer is when we do right and others come against us. That is godly suffering and that is a part of our calling. I remember the old song, Must Jesus Bear the Cross Alone and all the world go free? It goes on to say, No, theres a cross for everyone and theres a cross for me. If you love someone you will be willing to give your life for that one. Suffering for righteousness will reveal our level of love for our Savior. What gives us the strength to suffer? Its because the same calling is a calling to inherit a blessing (1 Pet. 3:9-11). Job went through some awful testing, but the END of the matter is where everything made sense and it was worth it all. Satan promises things up front, but in the end we learn he lied and withheld the truth from us. God rewards at the end of a matter and we are always amazed at the reward and its greatness. As the Scripture says, we are to endure to the end. There is so much more that could be said about our calling. Those who are called are sanctified and preserved. The callings of God are without repentance. Hell never change His mind!

You and I were not called to sit and enjoy our new found treasure, but we have a vocation to be Ambassadors, reconciling the world to God. Now God has some stipulations as to how we are to live while doing this job! He tells us that this is a Holy calling and we are to live holy as He is holy (1 Thess. 4:7; 11 Tim. 1:9-11; 1 Pet. 1:15-17). The reason we are to live holy is to perform His purposes and His grace. He didnt save us so we could do our works. He saved us to do His works!!!! This part of the calling is surprising. God gives us eternal life, makes us clean and acceptable in His sight and then calls us into Liberty! He sets us free from the judgment of the law! The law can no longer judge us. If we walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, we will fulfil the law, because Jesus never broke the law, BUT the law cannot come against us any more. Wow! What does it mean to have liberty? We are now judged by our relationship to our King. We are free from the bondage of sin and we are free to do righteously. We are free! How do we use this wonderful freedom that God has made available to us? We are told what the law of liberty is in James 1:25; 2:12. What we put out is what we get back. If we give mercy, we receive mercy. If we forgive, we are forgiven. The royal law is Do unto others as you would have them to do to you. If you want godliness and righteousness to be placed upon your life, then you had better treat others that way. Hebrews tells us it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Almighty. The law has been taken away and we are now face to face with God the Father and if you think that He will allow you to get away with sin, you better have another think coming! God corrects His children. This liberty that we are called into, reveals just what is in our hearts when it comes to doing that which is right!!! It can be scary to know that we are at liberty to do right or to do wrong. Our life saver is that this calling is also a calling into fellowship with His Son (1 Cor. 1:9). John tells us about the Abiding Life (John 15:4-7). This is the only way to benefit from the calling that we have been granted. Gloria and I plead with you each year to read through your Bibles and to hid the Word of God in your hearts. You will not produce righteous fruit unless Christ abides in you and you in Him. Without an abiding life with Christ, we can do nothing! If we do not abide

By Gloria Brewster

Man often does not know how to lead and serve at the same time. Woman often does not know how to submit and be strong at the same time. Both man and woman MUST learn the art of our position in creation. Many husbands think that because they are leaders everyone in the house is their subject. The wife is not the mans subject, she is his BODY. Many men treat their wives as if they are one of the children, which the woman rejects and the husband wonders why he never lives in peace and contentment. She knows in her heart that her position holds authority above that of her children. The wife is a help meet. She is there to help him in the administration of the home. Her opinion is nothing more than his own body trying to tell him what their needs are. If she doesnt get the respect that her position deserves, she will often attempt to make the man look disrespectful. Man has to learn how to heed his wifes advice without yielding his strength to her. If a man responds to his wife and children the way Christ responds to us, he will make a great leader and a joy to follow. That man will live in a peaceful home. The wife, instead of helping, too often will walk over the husband and take the lead. Many men will allow the wife to do so, and then when it goes wrong, he doesnt feel responsible. He wont like her and she will not respect him. This doesnt work. If a husband wants the wife to do a great work then he must provide the materials and the power she needs to do so. The Father has given the Word all power except over Himself. Jerry and I have been married 53 years and over these years Jerry has come to trust me with his life. When he became convinced that I wanted to do his will, he then began giving me liberty to make many decisions for him.

INSPIRATIONS

The one thing that most women are not balanced with, is the knowledge of their value. When God created man, male and female, He stated that they were made in the image of God. God is a trinity and most everyone will say to you that you cannot understand or explain the trinity. Well, how can we understand our image if we do not understand Gods image? God said there is the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit and they are ONE! Then He says, Male and female created He them and they were ONE. I believe I might be considered to be simple minded. It makes sense to me that there is a Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit and their last name is God! The three in the godhead work as ONE. They work through ONE will and they work through ONE name. My husbands name is Brewster. He is Jerry, I am Gloria and our last name is BREWSTER. Now while both the Father and the Word have a will, they work only through the Fathers will. Wouldnt it be awesome if in marriage we could always be willing to work through one will only. God does. We would have no division in our homes. Oh, but that would mean that we as women would have to submit our will to the leading of our husbands. It really is not hard to do when you know and believe that GOD is in control of ALL principalities, including our husbands. I cannot trust my life to a man and a wise man will not trust his life to a woman, BUT we both can trust our lives to our God who designed our image and will override any person who would attempt to come between us and the purposes and will of God. Gods will will be done!!! Our problem is that we cant see past man in order to see God. If we only understood the safety and the beauty of Gods design for mankind we would gladly follow. No one is more perfect than the Word. The Word is God. He doesnt do anything wrong, so why cant He be in charge? Why cant His will make the final decision? He has every thing it takes to be God, just like the Father does, BUT He is not the Father! If the Word, who is perfect, can submit to the Fathers will (and you dont hear Him complain ever about doing so), then it is not being asked of Him because of any lacking of His person. It is asked of Him because that is what GOD said to do. The Word trusts the Father with His life. When God commanded the woman to submit to her husbands leadership in the house He was asking her to trust her life to HIM (not her husband). God never asks us to place our lives in the hands of man. He tells us that unless we hate mother, father, husband, children, and yes, our own lives also, we cannot be His disciples. Man may stand between me and God, but man will never be allowed to interfere with Gods work in my life. Man may be our battlefield, or our trial, or our testing (which only reveals our hearts, not theirs), but He is not powerful enough to stop Gods work in mine and your life. Gods Will will be done! You can rest in that.

HER VALUE IS FAR ABOVE RUBIES!

50 Years of Ministry

Dear supporters, Family and Friends,

I pray you had a wonderful Christmas and that this New Year brings you great blessings in your lives and in your family. I want to recap and do some remembering in this letter or article. No telling what it may turn out to be. Wonderful Word Publishers began in May of 1964, when Dick and Rose Cimino, my in laws, moved from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to Harlingen, Texas near the Mexico border. God laid it upon their heart to print tracts in the Spanish language and give them free of charge to missionaries on the fields and national pastors. This is the beginning of the 50th year to fulfill Gods leading. After Bro. Dick died in 1981, then my husband David died in 2001. Rose Cimino died in 2009 and I did not know what would become of Wonderful Word Publishers. It had been faithful to Gods purpose for 45 years. Was it going to die? Would God send someone to take it over? I was the only one left in the work and certainly felt incapable to carry on a ministry by myself. I did not know how to run the press, make negatives, conduct business, order thousands of sheets of paper, use a huge paper cutter or even operate a folder. I knew how to cook, clean, raise children and keep my husband going. I didnt even know how to put gas in the car, or balance a check book. My life was turned upside down and inside out. God had placed within me the responsibility and the desire to get busy and keep the work going. Was I scared? You better believe it. When my husband died in 2001 Mom Rose was 86 years old. Physically feeble and not able to do very much, but alert and smart enough to instruct, lead and guide me. Together with Gods help things began to fall into place. Even though we were grieving and still at a loss as to what to do, God was working. Our dear friends, Larry and Judy Connor, got word to us that they would do our printing. At that time they were in Peru, but as soon as they returned they got busy printing tracts for us after we supplied the needed materials. They continue to print for us free of charge. Mom Rose and I prayed for some couple to come and take over the labor part of our work. Some couples came and seemed interested but it never came to pass. We still felt like we needed a responsible man to head up our work, so the Lord sent Bro. Jerry Brewster and his wife Gloria. He was a former pastor of ours. He became the President of Wonderful Word Publishers. He and Gloria revived the Wonderful Word Magazine which Mom and Dad Cimino printed as an outreach of the work. They renamed it Tid Bits of Wisdom from the Wonderful Word. I began to meet more and more missionaries as they would come out to renew papers and attend services at my church. I would go to them and tell them we were still publishing tracts and did they have a need. Nearly every time they would take tracts, a box or two or three at a time. Several times I heard from ones who had lost contact with us as they had been on the field for a number of years or heard of Dad and Davids passing. They assumed the work was no longer. They used our tracts in the mid 60s or 70s and were so glad to know that they were still being printed and available. As the tracts began circulating more and more contacts were made with orders through the mail and over the phone. I heard time and time again, We like your tracts because they are full of Scripture. In 2009 Mom Rose went home to be with the Lord. I had 8 years of on the job training. God had blessed me beyond measure. My needs were met which were plenty in the early years of Davids home going. I grew in knowledge of the Word and in trusting that the Lord was going to take care of me and Wonderful Word Publishing. I was rejoicing in His grace. My body was wearing down by this time. I had problems with the heart and with my legs and feet. In 2003 I had to have a pacemaker installed. In 2008 it was changed to a pacemaker/defibrillator due to a second problem in the heart. I

TID BITS MONTHLY REPORT

Seven years ago last month Tid Bits of Wisdom was birthed! It is and has been Glorias responsibility to see that the paper is done each month. No one knows me like she does and most always I can put my name and approval on what she does. I do not consider myself a writer, although Gloria tells me I am. God called Gloria to teach women the Word of God many years ago and He has enabled her to write. She has talked about writing a book for more than 35 years but she never thought about a monthly paper until Mrs. Rose approached her to write through Wonderful Word Publishers. When we met Mrs. Rose, Bro. Dick had been gone eleven years. She was lonely for the fellowship she and Bro. Dick had enjoyed together. Gloria would go to see Mrs. Rose and they would talk hours about Scripture. Rose would always tell her that talking to her was like having fellowship with Bro. Dick. Rose said Gloria and Bro. Dick had the same spirit. Because of that she felt Gloria should pick up where Bro. Dick left off and revive the monthly paper. Well, it was a couple of years later before God gave the go ahead for the paper. This month we send out receipts for the yearly support. Looking at all the names and the love they showed to this paper through the year, warms our hearts and humbles us to think that God touches people to help us do His work. This support represents the peoples lives. I am sure there were many things they could have used their money for personal needs, yet they shared it with us. This money represents lives and we want you to know that we are grateful for your love shown to this work.

I enjoy a freedom that many wives never get. It wasnt easy to get here, but every time I am obedient to Gods Word I find myself living in true freedom. I kicked, I screamed and I declared myself right, until God won the battle, and I surrendered to His plan, His Will, and His way, and oh what a joy I have come to know. As Jesus said to Paul,
Acts 9:5-6 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

A virtuous womans value is compared with the value of wisdom (Job 28:18).
Prov 31:10-12 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Letters:

Just wanted to let you know that on December 31, I will have finished reading my Bible through for the year. Over my life I have read it through more than a dozen times (I have not counted exactly how many times.) Since you wanted readers to inform you I am doing so, and Im sure you realize I did not do it for publicity. Its good to read it over and over again. Albert K. Just a note to let you all know how much I appreciate you sending me Tid Bits of Wisdom. I enjoy it and look forward to receiving it. We pray you all are doing well and the church also. Look forward to seeing you both. Willard & Annette C. Thank you so much for your prayers and encouraging words. Your friendship means so much. Avis W. Always read your paper and I am blessed. Thank God for you. Lucy H.

Tid Bits of Wisdom is a non-profit work and operates through the Wonderful Word Publishers, whose founders were Bro. Dick and Mrs. Rose Cimino. The Tid Bits of Wisdom is published by Bro. Jerry and Mrs. Gloria Brewster. The tract ministry is operated by Mrs. Connie Cimino. All gifts are tax deductible. Tid Bits of Wisdoms web site is tidbitswww.com. Our email is tidbitswww@aol.com.

Is the value of our created position being revealed by virtuous living among our families. The only way man will ever see our value is by virtuous daily living. Is our lives doing that man good or evil. We stand in a place to aid their success or aid their failure. God help us as women to once again be valuable.

Dissatisfaction and discouragement are not caused by the absence of things but the absence of vision.

FEAR IS: False Evidence Appearing Real

had concentrated on the heart issues and ignored the growing problems with the feet and legs. Now it has been diagnosed as neuropathy and there is no cure. Ever since Mom Rose passed away, and even before, my son wanted me to come and live with him and his family in a house with separate quarters. I felt it was of the Lord, but was still at a loss as what to do about the work. After much prayer, I asked a local missionary and his wife who I have know for decades, if they would be responsible to distribute the tracts in the region where we both lived and went to church. Bro. Duane and Marilyn Gibson agreed immediately. The distribution of the tracts through the Gibsons has steadily increased. His outreach is extensive as they have been serving as missionaries since the 60s. They do this for the Lord and to help Wonderful Word Publishers. With the help of Bro. Larry and Judy Connor and two of their friends, they moved me and Wonderful Word Publishers to the Knoxville, Tennessee area in October of 2011. I was looking forward to finding contacts here in the East Tennessee area since many immigrants were traveling this way. I brought tracts with me and have sent them out locally as well as to Florida and Georgia. A local Spanish pastor has received boxes several times and passes them along to other pastors and even mailed some out of the country. Shortly after I moved to Tennessee, Bro. Ernie Harman and his wife Hilda called. They are missionaries in West Texas near the El Paso border. We have known Bro. Harman since the 60s. He drew the pictures that are within the three major tracts we print. He called asking if he could start to distribute tracts in his region. Once again God was showing how He was going to take care of Wonderful Word Publishers in getting His Word out to those who are lost. He has many contacts as well. Between these two men, the distribution has more than doubled since I left Texas. Bro. Larry Connor is now in the process of printing 400,000 tracts to be sent to the distribution areas. God has blessed and sent in the monies needed to pay for the supplies. These tracts will be going to other missionaries, mostly in Mexico, but some find their way into other regions of South America. Many will go to national pastors in cities, colonials and the mountainous regions all over Mexico. We are responsible to get the Word out; God is responsible for the results that are obtained. We are all partners with Wonderful Word Publishers whether it is in administration, distribution, printing, supporting, and most of all praying. I am supported directly by Wonderful Word Publishers, but everyone else is supported by their ministries. God has blessed us all because of a willing heart of service. Through all this experience God has brought to my mind a saying Dr. Lee Roberson told us time and time again when we were in school. Just keep on keeping on. I leave you with that thought. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might. Eccl. 9:10. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. to the mission field. They first worked in Mission, Texas and ten circumstances (Gods way of working His will) brought them to Wonderful Word Publishers. They worked for three years. He drew the illustrations that are contained in our three most popular tracts. Afterwards, Bro. Harman felt God was moving him. He has been a carpenter, pastor, planter of churches and working with many parts of Texas/Mexico, all the time working with the Spanish speaking people. He started three churches in Mexico and is now preaching in a Spanish church in Tornillo, Texas on Thursday evenings. Presently he is building a ministry in Clint, Texas. They are also involved in childrens ministries. They have a warehouse there where he houses people as they travel in and out of Mexico. At Christmas they had 35 people at their place. They collect and store school supplies, Bibles and other materials to be distributed in Mexico. He has helped many pastors and churches as a fill in when needed. Sometimes, sad to say, pastors just cant endure and walk away. Bro. Harman has helped the churches during those times. He always makes tracts available free of charge to all who can use them. Please be in prayer for them. Bro. Harman has been a missionary for 40 years and is 70 years old, but still going strong. BRO. DUANE & MARILYN GIBSON: These are our distributors in the southern most part of Texas near the Reynosa Mexico border. They were missionaries as single people, then married and have been missionaries for 42 years. They worked in Chihuahua, Mexico and helped start a church. The church is still going on and has thrived with a Bible school and a great testimony in the city. They hold family conferences and pastor conferences in Spanish during the year to help with problems that arise within the family and church. They have students in correspondence courses in 15 different countries, including Cuba and also some in U.S. prisons. Bro. Gibson goes to the Federal Detention Center in Bayview, Texas to speak to the Spanish speaking detainees. In all situations our tracts are offered free of charge. Tracts are placed into the correspondence lessons. No telling how far these small pieces of colored paper reach. They are 70 years of age and going strong.
