SENIOR EIA CONSULTANT Overview ASC Renewables is an ethical developer of renewable energy projects, with a vision to create 'Sustainable

Energy without Compromise'. Directly addressing the risks posed by climate change in the context of the UK's growing energy demand, ASC specialise in working in partnership with local authorities, large energy users and landowners to identify, assess and fully develop wind and other renewable energy generation projects throughout the UK. ASC has experience in the entire onshore wind development lifecycle process, ranging from initial scoping studies, feasibility studies, site selection and baseline site surveys, through to full EIA, development of mitigation plans and the production of environmental statements for renewable energy projects. The team is also responsible for managing planning inquiries, the environmental management of projects before and after construction, pre-construction and construction activities, through to the operational management of the built project. Job Description We are seeking a full time Senior EIA Consultant to join our renewable energy projects team based in Manchester city centre. This opportunity has arisen as a result of significant recent growth in the onshore wind greenfield portfolio. We are looking for a creative and highly motivated team player that has the ability to manage complex and challenging renewable energy projects. Candidates must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of EIA in the renewable energy sector, be conversant with EIA and planning regulations and procedures at both local and national level, and possess excellent report writing and reviewing skills. The successful candidate will be expected to make an immediate impact by having the ability to take charge of a commercial scale onshore wind project, and to deliver a planning application and associated EIA within 6 months of coming on board. Job Responsibilities: Managing the co-ordination and production of EIAs and related projects; Writing detailed feasibility studies, environmental reviews and environmental statements, Financial management of project activity, ensuring delivery to programme and agreed time budget; Managing and mentoring junior staff; Assisting with production of proposals and tenders for the Renewable Services consultancy business; and Working with communities, clients and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements: Appropriate qualifications to BSc or MSc level; Full / Chartered Member of IEMA, RTPI or similar; Technical excellence in renewable energy generation EIA delivery, with a demonstrable track record in EIA for onshore wind (and preferably solar); Comprehensive knowledge of relevant UK legislation;

Strong stakeholder relationship building skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, project teams and stakeholders and business managers; Good team player, with the ability to work independently; Enthusiastic and well organised; and Experience of an EIA discipline e.g. hydrology, noise, socio-economics would be advantageous.
