Lincoln Capital I
Competition by invitation 1st prize Winner may 2013 Office Building Guadalajara. Mxico. Project Architect Tacher Architects.
Lincoln Capital is a real estate and nancial group established in the city of Guadalajara. Mexico. Last year they decided to convoke an architectural private competition. Therefore as result, they gathered 5 projects from 5 different local rms and selected our project as winner to be built. The building is designed as six story building with mixed use. It was planned to be a patrimonial building to rent and to be occupy by owner. As a consequence The rst undergrown two levels are parking, the rst oor is also commercial use, the next four levels are of ce spaces for rent and the fth level is intended to be Lincolns capital new headquarters space. The building is designed following the criteria to reduce its ecological footprint keeping in mind aspects as: Geographical location, amount of sunlight regulation, natural air ows and water ef ciency methods. Everything with a very restricted budget. The Building structural criteria are based on the idea of a supporting the faade composed of columns and regulating the amount of sunlight coming inside the building. At the moment of the competition (as I am right now) I was performing as project manager among other projects in the of ce. Tacher Architects is an small but rapidly growing rm, so every time we do a competition we would all collaborate on it and the result is the conjunctions of ideas and team work leaded by the director and owner of the rm architect Alberto Tacher.

CEICA CORPORATION
September 2013
INTERIOR architecture. Guadalajara. Mxico. Proyect manager. TACHER ARCHITECTS.

Ceica Corporation is a multidisciplinary group of investors. Their businesses go from horse breeding to real state investments. They commissioned Tacher Architects to design the interior distribution of their new of ces meeting the building design regulations on a complicated shape perimeter. The program was simple and with a small amount of spaces. It has a main of ce, a common work area, four secondary private of ces, a meeting room for presentations, a front desk and a small kitchen. All the work areas are ventilated and illuminated naturally following the windowed perimeter of the building; however it's important to keep in mind that even in winter people doesn't close the windows over here. Therefore only space illuminated and ventilated arti cially is the meeting room, therefore is contained on a box. The client asked for a colorfully environment with room for some art pieces they are planning to acquire. My contribution as project leader was to collaborate generating the concept of the architectural and interior design and to develop images, presentations and construction plans.

Lincoln Capital ii
Competition by invitation 1st prize Winner November 2013 Office Building Guadalajara. Mxico. Project Architect Tacher Architects.
After the success in the rst competition we got invited in a second architectural competition for another building. The program is mainly the same than Lincoln I (the rst project on this portfolio) the main difference is that due to budget restrictions and city regulations it was impossible to have undergrown levels. As a consequence parking lot it's accommodated on the rst two levels above grown. The architectural program stated that the design goal to achieve was to create oor plants with over 1000 square meters in order to attract renters to a central part of the city rather than on the suburbs where are most rentable spaces with that capacity. Secondly the architectural program also established that the building must satisfy a ef ciency ratio with in a limited budget. The building is designed to be mainly on concrete without inside columns and naturally ventilated and illuminated. As a project architect my contribution to this project was the solution-analisis and 3D rendering.

digital creative city

open Competition 1st prize Winner December 2013 Office & educational Guadalajara. Mxico. Project Architect Tacher Architects.
The digital creative city is a project initiated by the government as a solution as a solution to the growing shortage of quali ed professionals in all areas related to digital disciplines. It is the rst block of a 7 block complex. The master plan has been already design by Italian architect Carlo Ratti. It was an architectural competition opened for local architects. We were honored to be awarded with the rst price. The competition program stipulated the need of a vast undergrown parking lot and the proposal of multi-functional spaces. As a consequence of the variety of functions they can operate as. It is planned to be part of the digital creative city which is planned to be completed in 2016. The building is design in such a way that can serve as a government building in a changing case scenario. As in other projects, all facades are structural, avoiding columns and reducing the structural and esthetical cost of the complex. It is designed to be naturally ventilated and illuminated in combination with water ef ciency systems.

house for a single lawyer

September 2011 residencial architecture. Guadalajara. Mxico. Proyect manager. eidos architecture.
The client was a successful lawyer. Divorced and with no kids. Due to the requests of the project the budget was almost limitless. (Speaking in Mexican standards) He wanted a modernist house that showed off his taste for architecture and sculpture. He also wanted a house where he could invite friends and relatives for prolonged amounts of time keeping his guests as comfortable as he could. The program of the house meets the commercial standards for a house with those dimensions. It has tree levels and an underground level where it has a garage for tree cars and a motorcycle, on the rst level above ground it has the public and social area: kitchen, living room and dining room. On the upper oor there are three bedrooms and a roof garden on the rooftop of the main bedroom. Due to the orientation and weather of the location of the house no A/C or heather is needed. Windows are enough. Guadalajara has a very pleasant climate *Photographs taken by me

rym capital office space

march 2009 interior architecture. zapopan. Mxico. Proyect architect. tacher architects.

RYM Capital is a nancial service entrepreneurial group who bought an of ce space in a business area on a tower. They commissioned Tacher Architects to design the interior of ces meeting the building design regulations. The program was simple and with a small amount of spaces. It has two main of ces, tree secondary private of ces, a meeting room for presentations, a work area in the back and a small kitchen. All the work areas are ventilated and illuminated naturally following the windowed perimeter of the building, however its important to keep in mind that even in winter people doesn't close the windows over here. Therefore only space illuminated arti cially is the meeting room. The client emphasized concepts like elegance, color and seriousness.

house for a family

December 2011 residential architecture. zapopan. Mxico. Proyect manager. eidos architecture
The client is a childhood friend of Marco (who was my boss at the time). The property is located in an exclusive area of the city and it was one of the very few lands left. Due to the neighborhood regulation the house had to be mainly designed using sloping roofs. The main design requirement for the project was to conjugate the inside with the outside. They wanted a view of the garden from every possible place of the house; secondly another requirement was to maintain an enormous eucalyptus tree already in the terrain. We took as another requirement to fully natural illuminate and ventilated every space of the house. My job as a project manager was to contribute during the design process, elaborate coordinate the elaboration of material for presentation and coordinate the production of plans and details.

house for a bachelor

march 2012 residential architecture. zapopan. Mxico. Proyect manager. eidos architecture
The client came to the of ce after her negotiations for buying a new pent house brake down. After that she decided to commend us the design of a house instead of an apartment. Therefore the architectural program its very similar than the one she was buying before. The house possesses 195 square meters. Since the beginning she had very speci c requirements that were tted in the house trying to improve the future sale value keeping the social spaces downstairs and the private spaces upstairs. Since the necessities of the client are the ones in a single lady in her mid-30s, the houses was designed and build with the preparation for a future expansion where a new master bed room would appear above the garage. The general concept required for the project revolves around privacy, sobriety and comfort. As a consequence the main facade the house doesn't possess open windows to the outside and all the orientations and views are carefully orientated. Thus most of the windows are orientated to the south, the back facade of the house. All of the interior spaces of the house are natural illuminated and ventilated. *photograph taken by me
