Note: Refrigerants R-134a, R-404a, R-407c, R-410a and R-413a, R-417a, R-507, R-717, R-744 and R-290 have Zero Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) and are not considered to be Ozone Depleting Substances. Hence there is no requirement for making entries when dealing with such gases.

The volume of low sulphur fuel oils in each tank as well as the date, time, and position of the ship when any fuel oil changeover operation is completed prior to the entry into an Emission Control Area or commenced after exit from such an area. Note: 1. Every time the incinerator is used for burning oil residue (sludge), an entry must be made in the Oil Record Book (Part 1) using Code III-D, as shown above, immediately after the Code C 12.3 entry. 2. Every time the incinerator is used for burning solid waste (oily rags, etc.), the incineration entry is made in the Garbage Record Book and at the same time an entry must be made in the Oil Record Book (Part 1) using code III-D, as shown above.
